Dr. Martha Ximena Aguilera

My initial visit with Dr. Aguilera was disturbing. Her manner with patients is unprofessional and dismissive. She asked me a lot of questions about my chronic pain but interrupted me multiple times before I could answer them, sometimes before I even said a word. I believe that the ability to listen to a patient is a fundamental quality in order to be an effective doctor. She was skeptical of proceeding with the diagnostic procedure I came to discuss with her and instead wanted to repeat a test I had already had. When I asked her why since I’d already seen multiple specialists in the field and had that test already, she told me I was being argumentative. The point of my appointment was to discuss a procedure that I’ve never had in order to find a solution to my pain, not to keep repeating tests that have provided no answers. When asked why she was hesitant to perform the diagnostic procedure she said she didn’t know if it would find anything. That makes no sense, the point of a… diagnostic procedure is to attempt to find a cause or diagnosis. No test is guaranteed to have findings but if you don’t do any testing you’ll never know. After spending the time and money to see her, I left having no confidence in her and no hope for answers to my 11 years of chronic pain. I have to start over, again.

Dr. A is is a life saver. She removed a 3rd of my colon after an EMORY doctor punctured it. I love her a very capable doctor. Jim Lupo (Ron ) ??????
