I went to him for second opinion for my excruciating back pain.He was extremely nice,don’t a lot of with me answering all my questions and going over the surgery he was going to do on my lower back.So I decided to let him do my surgery.And it turned out it was the biggest mistake I made.The surgery didn’t go well for whatever reason and I woke up exactly with same pain.He told me after surgery it might take some time to get rid of the pain.And here all that disaster began.You can’t see the doctor for4 weeks after surgery you can’t even get him on the phone.Because his surgery do not work ,a month later he offered second surgery,and again he is very nice in the office.I did not want to mess around with my back ,and I went to different doctor in Manhattan and he did my second surgery.Dont get fooled by Dr.Zonenshyan excellent bedside manner and don’t let him do your surgery .

Just got back from the hospital where i had an appointment with this doctor.Never got a chance to see him cause his staff messed up big time.They made the appointment for me last month and of course they knee i had fidelis.Went there and they told me he cant see me cause he doesnt accept fidelis.Really stupid staff he has i tell you!

My mother Najia Tarkhani was in a lot of pain and our doctor referred us to Dr Zonenshyne. He was so kind and so carrying, prior, during, and after her surgery, and his entire team was so kind and helpful. If I can give him and Dr. Kelly thousands of stars I would, Number 1 Doctor ever. Thank you for helping my mother. You are gods gift.

Surly staff, most unhelpful and offhand, curt and I can only think are a reflection of this overblown ego - an APPENDAGE if you will. STAND CLEAR OF THIS LOT!

My first surgery was done by a great neuro surgeon I didn't believe I would ever find another compareble. Until I had my second cervical spine decompression on another level when my insurance wasn't accepted by my original surgeon I found Dr. Zonnenshayn besides being one of the top NS in NY he is also very compassionate, easy to talk to and not knife happy. He explained 2 ways to do the decompression but he chose the one without fusion doing a laminectomy from the back of the neck explaining that healing will take a bit longer because he needs to cut through muscle going in that way but the spinal cord would be more stable without fusion and a plate. Well, I listened and almost immediately after I woke up in the recovery the numbness, tingling and pain on my arm and hand were gone. He also has Great follow up in the hospital post-op and a great team of PA's that are always available..

It was Surgery on spine for my Mom. She barely could walk with cane for few feet before surgery. She left hospital walking independent No complications after surgery. Special Thanks for whole team in office, great attention and support. Immediate help if any concern.
