IDEAL PEDIATRIC & ADOLESCENT CARE, P.C.

At Ideal Pediatric and Adolescent Care, we provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care for your child in a small, independent practice setting from birth to young adulthood.

After many years of working in different practice settings and driven by a desire to create a pediatric practice that serves the community, Dr. O’Hara opened Ideal Pediatric and Adolescent Care in December 2016. We set out to build a small practice where we can spend time with our patients and families and maintain the personal connections that are so vital to the health, development and growth or your child.

We utilize the latest technology, including a pediatric-specific electronic health record by PCC and state of the art in-house rapid diagnostic testing to bring up-to-date care to your child.  Being an independent practice, we can be more responsive to our patient’s needs.

Pediatrics Services

As pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners, we receive special training in the health and illnesses of infants, children, teens and young adults.  We provide general preventative well care to children including immunizations, growth and developmental, vision, and hearing screenings, fluoride varnish and test for anemia. We provide general guidance on behavior and development, safety, nutrition and emotional wellness to foster a lifetime of good health.

We also care for chronic illnesses such as asthma and ADHD, as well as acute illness for colds, COVID symptoms, rashes, sports injuries and more. We do rapid/in office testing for COVID (rapid PCR), Influenza, Strep, urine tests for pregnancy and urinary tract infection.

And that’s not all! Ideal Pediatric and Adolescent Care works with patients to treat and manage ADHD, anxiety, and depression, as well as the unique challenges faced by adolescents. We offer lactation support for new moms, school physicals for young athletes, counseling for adopting families, and travel medicine for your adventures abroad.
