Dr. Mary Codo, MD

Most of us have been referred to a specialist from our gp because we need special care. Dr Codo treats her practice like a patient factory, she should NOT take new patients, she should take better care of her existing patients. It is difficult to get an appointment then after you see her once and are trying to work on your diabetes with her, she pawns you off onto her NP, for future visits. if you email her it is hit and miss on whether or not you will actually get a response. ( It has been 6 days since my last email and their ap tells you if it has been read, my email was read and ignored. I asked a question about a medication she put me on. I wish I could give 0 stars, I will be looking for a new specialist.

Let me preface this by saying that these reviews for Dr. Codo that talk about her office staff are problematic. If someone is looking for a good doc and sees that Dr. Codo has two stars, they're not going to go look further. They just won't see her, and they'll miss out on incredible care. If you have a problem with the office staff take it up with the practice. Don't punish the doctor. More than likely she didn't hire her staff. DMG is a big corporation. Dr. Codo is kind, compassionate, and a tremendously talented physician. I could not be more grateful for her care and consider myself extremely fortunate to have her on my care team.

I've been seeing Dr De Herrera-Codo for years. This was supposed to be my 1st visit at the new office. Her front desk cancelled my appt since I was a little late due to traffic. Glad I drove up here for nothing after working all night

I have nothing but great experience with Dr. Codo and her staff. They have anticipated my needs, and interfaced with my insurance provider, and pharmacy. I referred her to my wife, who received equally outstanding service.

I'VE BEEN A PATIENT FOR MANY YEARS, THE STAFF IS PROFESSIONAL, PATIENT, CARING AND KIND. THIS IS THE NICEST AND MOST PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL OFFICE I'VE EVER BEEN TO. I WISH I WAS TREATED AS WELL AT MY OTHER DOCTOR'S OFFICES

The office staff is unprofessional and needs customer service training and business etiquette.. I contacted the office 4 times in one day. In the morning, the staff put me on hold for 6 minutes and then disconnected the phone call. I returned the phone call and received voicemail. At 2:38 P.M., I received the voicemail. At 2:39 p.m. . I made another phone call, someone picked up , heard voices and was disconnected again. THE EXPERIENCE WAS UNACCEPTABLE to me and her patients. If they did that to me , what do they do to her other patients.

This is the most frustrating medical practice in the US. The staff does not answer the phone during limited business hours. The doctor has sat on poor lab results for a month without direction. She is pleasant and seems to be knowledgeable, but if you cannot talk to the doctor, none of it matters. Staff is rude and inefficient. As hard as it is, find another doctor.

Well I had an appt. and staff claimed I failed to confirm it, which is not true. I took a day off work, drove 45 mins. and was told because I had not confirmed it my appt. time was given to someone else. Her office staff didn't even offer to see if the dr. would be willing to squeeze me in! I was referred by my surgeon so I will seek another referral. I have already spoken to his office about how inept Dr. Codo's staff was to me. In addition, I had called prior to leaving my home to confirm the address and the person answering the phone did not check to confirm my name & appt. time.

Dr. Codo is a very nice, professional, patient doctor. She's very knowledgeable. However, the office staff takes weeks to answer phone calls & doesn't always follow through on promises (faxes, call insurance, get test results, etc). There are 3 drs in this practice. But Dr. Codo is worth the problems I had w/the office staff.
