Great visit today to a great Dr Zemel

Dr. Zemel made me feel very at ease about my cancer and very patient with me

If I could give this run down old office zero I would. I made an appt to see the dr and the staff did not record it, I went on time just to see the offc was closed 2 hrs ago. I called the number to find out what had happened and they could not even find my name in their records. I made another appt when I went to see the dr, I had to sign a 24 hrs cancellation fee policy of 25.00. I told the secretary that I would like to know on what grounds would I be charged and she went for an old white lady which seems like a supervisor. She was so nasty, she said to me " how can I help you? Without even greeting me, I continued by trying to explain what had happened to me the week before and she stopped me by saying" you dont need to explain anything, it's either you take it or leave it. She was so rude and disrespectful. I will be consulting the state. They seem racist and because they are in Paterson, the speak to you any way they want to and they look down on you. The staff seem afraid of… them. They look so frightened by their attitude. Save yourself the trip and find another dermatologist

I've been going to his office for 6 years now. My first experience was to remove two moles on my face and I went to other offices and they warned me about the big scars and that I had to have laser removal to remove the scars after the moles. A friend of mine that lives in Paterson reccomended me to Dr. Zemel and I went to see him at that office. After that I chose one of his offices near me. He's very professional and the staff is really great, too. The two moles he removed were on my upper lip and on the corner of my eye. No one could ever tell that I had those moles on my face without me telling them. I'm very happy with the results! I take all of my family there for any of their skin problems. Recently I took my mother to remove the Melanoma from her face. He removed three big and deep ones. The one on her cheek was so large and deep and he did an amazing job! It's healing beautifully! I am so thankful to Dr. Zemel and the rest of the staff! They prevented my mother from getting… skin cancer. They did such a beautiful job on her face. My mother is so thankful and happy too. We wish Dr. Zemel a long and healthy life so he can keep using those amazing hands he has to make people look better and preventing any sickness in the skin. Oh and I forgot to say I go to his office in Union. A million thanks for your wonderful job to Dr. Zemel and staff. Sincerely, Reina and Librada

I have known Dr. Zemel for many years and find him to be competent and knowledgeable! His staff is kind and patient. I would highly recommend him! His new office in Paterson is spacious and clean!

This doctor is very bad, he does not know what he is doing. What doctor thinks to tell the patient what medicine he wants to prescribe.. ? ???????

Bleak office. Chronically late... call to check. lackluster office staff...but adequate medical care.

Was required to select one star to submit survey but I would not recommend this "physician" to any human. Mr. Zemel lacks personality, is not courteous, and from my overall observations does not care to treat people of color. Horrible in every aspect of treatment, actually made my issue worse. I hope the the Jewish boy with the severe cystic ance found another doctor by now. Mr. Zemel had an office in Paramus now he`s in Paterson, in a dirty, unsanitary, rancid office. Run!!!

Waited over 1 hour 45 min to see dr. Had a 3:15 appt and here it is 5pm still no dr. This place sucks (Hackettstown office)

History of melanoma in my family. Once I mentioned this the doctor spent an extended amount of time learning my family history and screaning me. I have multiple visits for checks and the nurse I have been dealing with has been excellent in calming my nerves and keeping me up to date with the biopsies. This doctor does not rush and makes sure that you get a complete review and complete care.
