Dr. Matthew Dombrow, MD

I've taken my mother who is in her 90,s to other doctors and by far Dr dombrow is the best,she likes him alot and we are both so happy we kept searching and found him

Dr. Dombrow is about as bad as a supposed retina specialist can be, starting with his condescending arrogance, and zero respect or concern for patients, particularly older patients.    Despite waiting approximately 90 minutes(!) for my first interaction with this doctor, I wasn't even given a respectful greeting, or even a modicum of courtesy.   In fact, he didn't want to hear a word I had to say, or even hear about my condition's symptoms.    Dombrow's technician staff is equally nasty and out of control, with the female employee administering the rushed, unprofessional vision chart test having the gall to disrespectfully interrupt and talk over me, as I was trying to explain the blurriness that made it hard to see the lower portion of the chart.  Amazingly, this unprofessional employee insulted me, and said I was talking too much! While needlessly keeping myself and other patients waiting, I overheard the loud voice of the doctor talking about his upcoming vacation plans to the San… Juan Islands, which was more important than providing the eye examination and treatment I desperately needed, or keeping on schedule. From my horrible first-hand experience, Dombrow runs a mill practice in which he wants minimal interaction with the patient, instead funneling most everything out to the rude technician(s), thus denying the expert, professional care for which I had made an appointment to treat a rather scary, progressively worsening eye condition. After wasting most of my afternoon on the worthless appointment, and being talked to as if I were a piece of garbage by both the doctor and his head technician, I asked for an apology from Dr. Dombrow, but never got one, as well as a refund of the money I had fruitlessly spent on travel (also refused). One star is too many for this terrible doctor!!

After two procedures that took Dr. Dombrow a total of 30 minutes I was sent a $7,000 bill. $5,500 was covered by my insurance, leaving me with a balance of $1,500. I setup auto payment through my bank and paid $800. However, my bank updated their system and my payments stopped. Rather than contact me Dr. Dombrow sent my account to collections. THIS WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COVID PANDEMIC. I would rather go blind that see Dr.Dombrow again.
