Dr. Maura Kathleen Oshea, MD

Dr O’Shea has delivered three of my grandchildren. She is the best, most compassionate OB I have met. She has done 2 C Sections and 1 Vaginal Birth of My Grandchildren and all 3 experiences were perfectly phenomenal! She is excellent at what she does, saving the life of My Grandson in an emergency situation! I would recommend her OBGYN services to all!

Lovely person and attentive through all of my needs pre pregnancy untill my due date. That's when she decided to tell me she was starting a vacation and had never introduced me to the other doctors. My delivery was then performed rudely and insensitivily by a doctor who apparently didn't care I had been in induction for 2 1/2 days by the time labor was in full force which meant I had no nutrition that whole time and I have MS so "your not pushing hard enough" isn't the bed side manners I had expected. My first check up 4 weeks later with Dr. Oshea she promised to call me to handle all the wrongs that happpened(many by the hospital) and she never contacted me. Later I went in for an IUD that her staff neglected to inform me of proper preparedness for the day of application. She tried it any way, it didn't work out. I come in another time to attempt and the jaws of life won't get this application to work. She insisted on a third attempt and it was successful for that day but I ended up… needed it taken out weeks later,seems a bit too much to have tried it that many times. I hate how much she let me down considering how great she was for the 2 years I went to her prior but fail after fail to provide confident care with real follow up replaced all the good stuff.

Dr. O'Shea came highly recommended to me so I was excited to have her oversee my first pregnancy. From the get go I felt like she never remembered who I was from appointment to appointment. She frequently asked me about scheduling my induction even though I had no intention of inducing. She didn't want me to go past 40 weeks, even though I never actually got close to that. She wanted to induce at 39! I ended up having a natural birth. She's super friendly and has a good bedside manner but didn't participate much in my actual birth, would ask me the same question about inducing at every appointment and forget that I had said no, and then pushed birth control at my 6 week follow up despite the fact that I had to have assistance conceiving my child. Overall she's super nice but I felt a little pushed around regarding my delivery options and felt like she doesn't customize care to each patient.

Dr Oshea is thee best obgyn in akron. She is knowledgeable, caring, thorough and makes you feel very comfortable expressing your concerns. Excellent bedside manners!!!

Dr. O'shea is absolutely incredible! Bed side manner, genuine caring attitude, and knowledge are all 5 stars.She always takes the time to answer all of my questions and never makes me feel rushed when she's in the room with me. Her staff from the front desk to the nurses to checking out are all just as lovely. If I have 1 complaint, it's that they are such a popular practice that sometimes it can be hard to get an appointment in a timely manner. That said, they are worth the wait and I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. O'Shea is definitely a busy lady, if you have to reschedule something routine it may be a long wait or you may see her nurse practitioner but for acute issues or procedures I have never had any trouble getting in with her. Since being with Obgyn associates I have had two health scares and her wonderful staff got me in to see her in under 48 hours both times. She is absolutely phenomenal and always makes me feel better with proper treatment and undivided attention to me and any questions I ever have. Any information I have ever requested that she didn't have she finds out and let's me know quickly. To hilight how caring she is, I had a suspicious breast lump that she checked and referred me out for ultrasound. A biopsy was immediately scheduled through the hospital but they didn't let Dr. O'Shea know. She was so concerned I address it right away she tracked me down at work by phone to make sure I was ok and getting the biopsy I needed immediately . Not many doctors would go to that… effort. She is an impressive doctor and person.

Dr oshea is the only ob ive seen for over 9 years. I wouldve given 5 stars 2 years ago. But if your not pregnant and looking for an ob to see regularly then your not important. If your appt isnt reacheduled and you actually get to see her she is an amazing ob! Her scheduling staff however could care less about you. Ive been rescheduled for 2 yrs for annual pap now! After having my mirena put in and only having it checked a month after and when i said id get another dr, after telling them all of this, was told ok and hung up on

I had a problem. I called to get help and the actual dr was to busy to see me. The problem never went away so I kept calling. They told me I called to much, and so I went to another dr and they told me I have a huge problem plus multiple other ones. I was actually diagnosed and got the proper medicin for me. I will never go back to this place again! Things should not slip threw like that as a dr and you should be there for your patients. Though the nurses and staff are quite nice, but no one should tell a patient they call too much when they have a problem that's not being fixed.

Love Dr O'shea! She delivered my son and has been my OB/GYN for 12+ yrs.

Dr. O'Shea is an absolutely amazing doctor. I was referred to her by a friend who raved about her and she did not disappoint. This was my first pregnancy and she always made me feel very comfortable. She is very kind-hearted and friendly and also very knowledgeable. She answered any questions I had and always made me feel like I was a priority rather than just another patient. It honestly kind of felt like I was going to go see a friend when I had my check ups (although she was definitely professional as well as friendly!). I have no end of good things to say about her and would highly recommend her.
