Megha Desai, MD

Dr Desai is the nicest dr I have ever had. She promptly returns my calls and ensures I have whatever treatment I need to take care of my diabetes. She is honest and tells you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.

Incompetent, rude, non-caring. These are words compiled by 10 nurses at Baptist Health in Lexington. I would add unprofessional and unethical as well. We all advise against seeing this unbelievable person who calls herself an MD.

Dr. Desai is so friendly and compassionate. She knows the names of her patients on site and is quick to call back. All of my questions are always answered in an understandable way. Sometimes the wait is long, other times you are seen in less than 30 minutes, it is really hit or miss on timing.

I was unable to take my thyroid medication I had been taking for years . At first she was nice and tried different meds. But everything was the same. I had severe adrenal rushes with any of them. Instead of finding out y I couldn't take them. She said its not your meds either take them or die. Then told me she couldn't help me I needed to see my gp. Now I'm bedridden severly sick. And she helped with nothing!!! She didn't even do any thyroid blood work. Very poor Endo. She should have tried to see what was going o

Doesn't review chart or lab work before giving criticism Relies on TSH only. She is loud and verbally accusing She gets personal in attacks on your hair color She promised to get me in optimum levels then when you are she finds fault somehow. Worse than my GP

I have been a patient of Dr.Desai for about 6 months. I was referred to her for thyroiditis. My TSH levels are all over the board. I have a family history of hyperthyroidism in which was my initial diagnosis at my regular PCP. Dr Desai explained to me that this was a acute condition that will get better with time. She put me on Levothyroxine because of my lab results mind you she did not go on my physical symptoms she only treated me for the lab numbers. She abruptly stopped my meds right when i started to feel halfway decent. I had to wait 2 months to return for blood work to see if this will resolve on its on. Mind you i still have the symptoms of hyperthyroidism i have had absolutely no appetite, shaky, anxious, and many more. When endocrinologist stop going by lab numbers and listen to the patient symptoms so we can feel normal!! Now awaiting my 2 month test results impatiently.

Dr. Desai is very caring and will show you she cares about your health. She dedicates time to listen to you, calls and follows up quicly. And she's very knowledgeable.

Simply the best.

Genuinely cares about you as a patient...and was patient and thorough with me. She explained to me what was going on and offered suggestions!

She is a wonderful doctor who helped my son who has very complicated medical conditions. It is refreshing to have the doctor actually call after a visit.
