An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.

Because Dr. Beine is an excellent doctor, she has many patients, which equals longer wait time. I find the staff professional and always responsive; appointments are easily made by phone. But the biggest thing I want to focus on is her manner and diagnostic skills: I had an unusual mammogram and she told me she had never seen the pattern without it being cancer. I had two needle biopsies and diagnostic mammograms, and was given a report of NO CANCER, Because of the strong honest critique from Dr. Beine, I insisted on an surgical biopsy, which indeed proved that I did have cancer, and in more than one area. If I had a doctor with a sweeter manner, I think I would be in bad shape now or dead. I get love from my family; I want the truth and honesty from my doctor. I find Dr. Beine the perfect internist for me.

Dr. Beine's staff is rude, uncaring and obnoxious. Dr. Beine herself is curt, blunt, too rough around the edges, as if she can't wait to get to the next patient. I went to this office a total of three times to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and each time was the same -- an unfriendly, rushed environment whose doctor (judging by age and attitude) needs to retire already.

I wasted a year on her telling me nothing was wrong!

I went to her every three mos for 1 yr. Explaining how my health had changed. Something was wrong - the last 2 times she said it was in my head - after 1 neurology app't. I discovered - I had chronic lyme disease and lupus. I found her very curt, abraisive, and horrible at searching for what is going on with you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Beine's since she came to San Antonio. She has always been there for the patient, hence, the wait time in the waiting room (I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes). She takes her time to give you your time with her. I have never felt rushed by her. Her office staff is MUCH improved - there was a time when it was chaotic and not friendly. I have highly recommended her to friends, who are now her patients. When we have needed her at the hosp. she has been there - with very pleasant bed side manners. Good doctors are hard to come by, and the better they are, the more patients they have - there is so much time in the day - I have been very satisfied with being able to get an appt. . I have no complaints!!!
