Dr. Melonie Celeste Proctor

Dr. Proctor is knowledgeable, professional and has taken the time to get to know me as a person. She listens, is compassionate, and we are thankful to have found her as our family doctor.

When I started going to Dr. Proctor I was not the type that could open up to a doctor. She has such a caring bedside manner yet very straight forward which gave made me comfortable enough to open up and talk to her. She genuinely cares about my health and about me. She is not one of those doctors who walk into the room look you over and give you what you want only so they can move on to the next patient. She will sit and listen to you and not rush you.

Went in for a new patient phyiscal. At the time of the appointment I had a head cold. Nothing over the counter medicine couldn't take care of. During my exam I told her how I was tired a lot of the time, in which she said nothing but to excercise more. Well, a month later I receive a bill (which I shouldn't have because my insurance pays well check up appointments at 100%) Come to find out, she billed my insurance for a well check AND a sick visit because of my fatigue and congestion, even though she did nothing, no tests, no prescriptions, nothing. She obviously just wants to bill patients and insurance as much as she can. I called their billing department and she said that there was nothing that she could do but to speak with the office manager since the doctor coded it this way. I told her that no matter what, I was not paying for a sick visit.. Needless to say, this was my first and last appointment with Dr. Melonie Proctor

Dr Proctor has no bedside manner at all! I do not feel comfortable with her in anyway. She is so unprofessional and I will not be going to her anymore. I wish Dr Kristi Day was back at the office! She was such a caring and understanding doctor.
