Dr. Melvin D Bullock, MD

Dr. Bullock is a caring and knowledgeable Doctor. I am a registered nurse working in gastroenterology since 2012. You should know, Dr. Bullock is not only interested in taking good care of his clinic patients but also in participating in clinical research trials. He is knowledgeable about the most current FDA approved medications and medications that are in the pipeline. I have seen his treatment plans improved patient outcomes and quality of life. Personally, I find his clinic and office staff helpful. My treatment plan and colonoscopy are now complete, and I am happy with my treatment at GCPC. I would recommend Dr. Bullock to my family and friends

He diagnosed me with IBS and had my symptoms resolved the next week.

Dr. Riddick asked him to do a camera colonoscopy to determine if I was BLEEDING INTERNALLY. I did weekend preparations for a Monday appt. using two sets of emailed instructions that were contradictory. Furthermore there were no instructions to stop IRON pills. He was absent on Monday so his office lady tested me. Before the test I explained that my fecal matter was liquid but BLACK. Obviously this is a problem for a camera. The office folks tried to get in touch with him, and finally reached Dr. Riddick, who said to continue. 3 or 4 days later, I called about results. Dr. Riddick called and said he "would TRY to get him to call with results". Several more days passed and I left a harsh message on the machine and Dr. Riddick called and said the results were OK. Later, I checked the WEB and read many pages that said to discontinue iron pills a week before this procedure. Later, I received a bill; called his office lady and reminded her of fiasco an No BILL since

Currently, I do not have health insurance and Dr Bullock was able to get me biological medication for my UC at no cost!

I've come across lots of doctors however Dr. Bullock is different. Rather than the transactional nature of other doctors who see one as a dollar sign, the doctor represents a medical professional who listens patiently, examines all options for treatment, gives you his best advice, and follows up. He really is a different type of doctor and cares about his patients.

RUN!!!!!!!! I’ve never been so angry with the service I’ve received with anything in life! He came in the room and seemed so tired uninterested with what was going on with me. He sent me for lab work... I had to call them days later to get my results! Come to find out it was something VERY serious, and they didn’t care at all. I called to get the results, and they told me them. I had to call them back later on that day to get medication called in for me. They never called me back to tell me what they medication was or anything. I had to call my PCP to get them to help me. I called weeks after I finished my medication, stating that I was still in pain and needed help, the receptionist send the doctor the wrong message. She calls me back hours later to tell me what he said. I told her that she sent the wrong message, she goes “Oh! Let me call back. Then I’ll call you back!” That was DAYS ago. And I still haven’t heard anything from him or his office staff. But I see that I have a… prescription sitting at my pharmacy for something that’s not even wrong with me. This people are CLOWNS!!! At this point I’m self diagnosing and taking care of myself! He needs to be the one reaching out to his patients or AT LEAST the clinical staff. Not the receptionist who I’m sure doesn’t have any clinical experience. This has been the most AWFUL EXPERIENCE, and I am truly dealing with a diagnosis that is very serious!!!

haven't been to a less engaging doctor. wanted me to make a follow up appt in 6 months. when I asked why he said, "because we don't want to lose you. when people don't come back in 6 months they sometimes leave". I left.

I went in to Dr Bullock for months severe stomach issues & a thorough exam. His bed side manner was uninterested & barely examined my stomach. I expected so much more after explaining that I had been to other stomach drs as well(who did not do other tests as well- ex: allegies, other causes) His only advice was to buy an over the counter IBS pill. I am still where I started. The only reason I am leaving a review is because I informed him that I had stomach issues previously and no extensive exams from previous Drs. I expected more. I am still suffering from symptoms. No help. Would not recommend.

Dr. Bullock is a very caring and concerned doctor who helped cure my gerd with I have had for 15 years! I am so grateful to him for taking the time to find the best solution for me to finally feel better. He is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him
