I have went to Dr. Heisey for a left knee total replacement, she was excellent in her work. I gave her a pat on the back. She listens to her patients, takes needed xrays to find out what is going on before diagnosing what the real issue. She is an excellent teacher as well with her med students beside her. I love her bedside manner. She is one that I would recommend to anyone having any kind of joint surgery. She is well versed and knows extensively what she does and how it is to be completed. thank you, Dr. Heisey you are the best.
As a 46 year old dirt bike rider. She has repaired both of my destroyed shoulders that were the result of major dislocations from accidents. Not only did she repair them. They feel better than new and have held up through more crashes and abuse. She truly gave me my life back. Would never even consider having someone else do surgery on me.
It's been over 4 years since my shoulder surgery, in which Dr. Fabing did what no other 'expert' surgeon in this area would even suggest -- she replaced my completely torn tendons in one shoulder with natural and artificial supports. I'm very active in basketball, biking and exercise, so this major injury was quite a defeat that other 'experts' said I should ignore or, if operated on, would involve a lot of pain and stiffness from the only option they knew of -- mechanical metal parts. When Dr. Fabing offered a more natural alternative, I couldn't turn her down. To this day I'm back to doing what I love. Although I will always have to be careful, I exercise nearly every day (weights and cardiovascular), ride my mountain bike and shooting hoops (it actually improved my jump shot -- go figure) with some slight issues of pain as is to be expected from working out in general. I'm also much happier knowing that my general appearance is back to normal since my clavicle isn't shooting out of my shoulder whenever I move in certain ways. The operation also prevented further damage to my clavicle and the attached muscles and tendons. I can't recommend her more highly. Also, I personally enjoyed every moment of contact with her (I think she's cute).
Have had major issues with this office. Phone calls not returned. Poor communication. Lack of caring or compassion. Lack of patient education. Orthopedic problem (hip) not fixed after 2 surgeries. I am seeking care elsewhere. I know others who had shoulder surgery by this physician and were very pleased. If the other issues in the office were corrected (you could get phone calls answered, appointments in timely manner for problems, pain addressed) I might recommend her for someone needing shoulder surgery.
