Dr. Michael Joseph Battaglia, DO

Dr. Battaglia and Maureen Stegemann are arrogant and have no time for certain patients. They don't listen to you and they just aren't interested in helping to actually figure out what's wrong with you. They work for the pill pushers, not for their patients.

I have been a patient of Doctor Battaglia's for many years he has help me immensely with my migraines and some other health issues .To some he may not have a bed side manner but once you get to know him he is very kind and takes the time to listen he is very thorough. His staff is also very kind and patient as is his NP Maureen S.

Dr Battaglia treated my dad for Parkinson's disease for many years. He was patient, kind and explained in detail the disease, process, treatment, medications and what to expect. If someone has a problem with him or his staff, they're either there for the WRONG reasons or expecting miracles that NO DOCTORS can perform. Now, my husband has to be seen for the same diagnosis. Dr. Battaglia was My first choice. As an R.N and have a realistic view of what to hope for and what to expect. The negative reviews that were showcased are inappropriate for any sight.

Dr Battaglia and his AWFUL sidekick Maureen stegemann BOTH look down on you. Have zero personality and make you feel like you are so beneath them. Stay away

He lacked compassion, empathy and told me my conditiond were "too complex for him to treat me

Dr. Battaglia is a witch doctor. I went to see him in 2011 for neuropathy in my feet and legs. For seeing him about 20 minutes he charged me $1,100!!!!!! He prescribed medication for me which didn't work. I called him after 2 weeks to tell him that the med didn't work and can he prescribe something else. He told me that he had transferred my case back to my primary care physician. When I asked him why he did that he responded, "If you want to make a complaint I'll give you the ph#." That was it - no explanation. My only guess is that Medicare doesn't reimburse much for neurologists, or so I've seen on the web.

my family doctor sent me to him after a stroke and side effects from it, i have spine problems where i get sent to the cleveland clinic she thought he could help here in town, got there waited awhile, the nurse was rude and down right nasty, she checked me out asking questions an cutting me off before i could finish an answer, then she tried putting words in my mouth and i had to keep saying "i didn't say that" then she started on me hard about a law suit and i repeatedly told her i have none and don't want one i just want to get better. she left and talked with the doc in the hallway. they came in and she stood there with her hands on her hips like she was ready to let me have it. he sits down in front of me and says " you come here with nothing, you give me nothing, you show signs of problems but i have nothing to work with i don't know what your problems are you have to give me something." i try to speak and he puts his hand up and says" I'm talking" and then tells me he's not… going to be part of a law suit. he pauses so i ask if i can talk and it's ok, i said all my info is in the computer all you have to do it look and he tells me" their computer is not linked to the other group he can't look it up. i then look and tell him" like I told her there is NO law suit, and i'm sorry for wasting your time. he tells me to rethink what i want to do and bring him something and maybe he'll help me. i said' No thats ok thank anyway and walked out, I stopped at the desk and asked about the computer and they told me there should be no problem looking up my record. i cancelled my next app. i'd rather deal with my side effects or die from my next stroke than deal with these assclowns.

I saw Dr. Battaglia twice in early 2011 for a total of maybe 30 minutes for neuropathy pain. He prescribed a med which didn't work. When I called him after taking the med for a couple of weeks to ask for a new med to try, he told me right off the bat that he sent my case back to my pcp and said I could file a formal complaint if I liked. I was shocked that he dropped the ball like that. He refused to explain why he did so. I then got a bill from him for $1,100, despite the fact that I have Medicare. He also didn't warn me that one of the tests he would do would be extremely painful (I felt nothing in my feet but my upper calves felt it). He is a sorry excuse for a doctor and a human being.

Where is the compassion in today's medical world. This doctor probably is an excellent neurologist, but when he said the number of years he has been doing this, out came the ego. Came to see the doctor because my dad had Parkinson's disease and I had some symptoms that may have been. So I thought I should go to see a neurologist. Never again will I go to this doctor. Dismissive.
