Get 2 opinion. My liver is bad. Wants to keep doing colonoscopy. 2 dr said no need... it’s my liver. But Dr B don’t know his craft. Greedy guy. Couldn’t give a hoot about ya. Money.. his whole life. Sad fella

I have been Dr. Braunstein's patient for over a decade. He is very professional, caring, and helpful. He is the only gastroenterologist that has made me feel comfortable discussing and treating some very uncomfortable issues. He is humane and down to earth. Everyone in his office is caring and helpful as well. Although gastrointestinal issues can be frustrating, it is so reassuring to have a doctor to help put you at ease.

Terrible doctor

My wife and I have been using the services of Dr. Michael Braunstein, Massapequa for the past 20 plus years. During this period we have always found him to be straight forward, very pro-active on any treatments and continually following up regularly for all of our internal/gastronomical health issues. We remain long term patients and my wife especially (an RN for over 40 years) trust and respect his judgement on our continuing health issues. marty & sue waisnor

The day I went to Dr. Braunstein I was suffering with extreme acid reflux. This condition existed for years and was not addressed by other doctors over the years Dr Braunstein performed a test that diagnosed a pre-cancerous condition. He has resolved the problem. I have had 22 comfortable years.

The best Gastro I've ever been too.

This is the worse dr I have ever went to. He doesn't answer any questions. If you happen to get a question in he basically pushes it off to the side. All he cares about is the next visit and how long he can keep you on medicine. I had a horrible side effect from the medication that put me in the hospital and I called him twice as an emergency and he didn't call back.

This doctor was awfeul. I went to see him with all the symptoms of diverticular disease.He had even diagnosed me with DV pockets after my last colonoscopy. His examination was a joke. After listening him talk on the phone for 10 minutes to his receptionist, he spoke into his dictaphone describing my symptoms. Then he told me "its your IBS" and "stop worrying let me worry for you?"He poked my stomach and again said that it was IBS. He stated that he would be more concerned if I had a fever. I told him that I had not taken my temperature and maybe he could. He replied that he could not find his thermometer because he has justr moved into his fancy new office but that I could go to CVS and buy one, take my temperature and just let him know. He did take my blood and bungled that as he "has not taken blood in awhile". On my way out, his staff harassed me to do a medical update as well as wanting to take my picture. Several days later, Dr. Braunstein called me and said that my white blood… count was up and that it probably wasn't IBS after all. He suggested that I come back in. I told him that I will not be back. Would not go back if he was the last doctor on earth.

Was so grateful to Dr. Braunstein for his care. He was compassionate- and his management of my stomach issues helped me tremendously. totally recommend
