Dr. Michael Albrecht, MD

Very good experience overall

Seen at a baptist stand alone ER on a Friday. We were told he was busy and didn’t have any openings in the OR and to go to North Central directly if things got worse. We went to NC and was told to call him Monday and tell to get an office appointment and they would maybe get to him by the end of the week. This was for a gallbladder full of stones and some lodged in the cystic duct. Took husband to different hospital and surgery was completed within a few hours. Very disappointed in his lack of care.

Dr. Albrecht's staff nurse named Huetzi is terrible. She does not return calls. Doesn't look at notes or even remember what is going on. Terrible communication with this nurse and doctor. Dr. Albrecht would not even return our calls after requesting him to call. We even had to wait over an hour to be seen with nobody else in the waiting room. We found another doctor whose staff cares and is getting my husband in immediately. We would not recommend this Dr.

I submitted a previous rating and it should have been a 5 star actually i would give him 10 stars. I just checked to see if it was posted and noticed one star and want this to be adjusted however it can be fixed.

Dr. Albrecht I did alot of research on due to my trust of competency with Dr's. Everything in his background looked good to me. He was on my insurance, thank god. He made me feel at ease that he was going to solve my problem of 12 yrs and he has. I guess I was meant to wait to have him as my surgeon. His staff and nurse is professional. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could. I have already referred a family member to him. Thank you Dr Albrecht I feel like you saved my life.

Finally a doctor that listens to his patients, lost trust at another hospital here in a san antonio,tx,. I did research on this Doctor and it met my criteria. Answered all my questions with calm from A-Z. Will highly recommend to anyone needing surgery . I wish all doctors were like him .

Dr. Albrecht is a great surgeon. My surgery went better than I could have hoped. I was feeling better right away. He is also very caring and listened to all my concerns before and after surgery.

I came to Texas for my company to help bring a location live onto our software. My body had a different idea and instead, ended up at Methodist Hospital, Stoney Creek in San Antonio, TX. I was very happy to make the acquaintence of Dr. Albrecht and he was very clear on the steps he would be taking to rid me of my nasty gallbladder. He made sure to check in on my recovery and took steps to make sure I was comfortable. I was very calmed by his presence and would recommend him and the staff at Methodist.

Dr. Michael Albrecht showed he is a very caring and professional physician. He spent no less than 52 minutes consulting with me post-surgery to just find out about my recovery. He is evidently very skilled at his profession and reminds me of Tom Cruise in both his looks and calming deamnor. Highly recommend
