Dr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University with honors. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1978. He completed his general surgery and urology residencies at the prestigious Barnes Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, MO. He came to Central Florida in 1983. He has been an active member of numerous national and regional medical associations, including the American Urological Association, The Florida Urological Society and the American Medical Association. He is a four time winner (1981, 1984, 1987, 1990) of the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. His professional appointments include Chief of Surgery at South Seminole Community Hospital in 1985 and Chief of Surgery at Central Florida Regional Hospital in 1986. Dr. Friedman served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Physicians Association from 1986-1992. He also served as a delegate for Seminole County to the Florida Medical Association from 1987-1991. Lastly, he served as President of the Seminole County Medical Society in 1989 and Chief of Staff of Central Florida Regional Hospital in 1991. Dr. Friedman is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). Dr. Friedman also devotes his efforts as a speaker.
