Dr. Michael B Eberlin, PhD

Dr. Eberlin describes his style as using humor in his sessions. This is a cover for being crude, crass, sarcastic and angry. If you were ever bullied as a child, you will recognize the behavior. He accused me of interrupting him and his look of fury made me think he was going to punch me. It took me a while to realize I needed help following a trauma. I will have to find the help elsewhere. This visit was a setback for me. He should not have a license. He is doing a lot of damage.

I saw Michael Eberlin for the first and last time today. We met with him to talk about our daughter. In the middle of our session he referred to my 7 year old as a “little bitch”. He has never met my child nor would I ever in a million years let him be in the saw room as her. I have no idea how this man is still practicing. He is unprofessional and disrespectful.

Dr. Eberlin helped me and my daughter through a very difficult period in our lives. His advice was specific, and his treatment effective. I find him empathic and compassionate, as well as friendly and amusing. He is responsive not only in session, but also via phone and email, and has even done home visits. I have recommended him to several friends when they were in need of counseling. There are many therapists out there, but Dr. Eberlin is one notch above.

DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN.... He is extremely dangerous to the mind and seems to be narcissistic and is very rude, mean, cold and short. When I told him I didn't want medication, he continued to push it on me and then after asking me what I want from him, every time I tried to answer he would aggressively interrupt me and say you're being vague or you're not being clear enough, meanwhile I hadn't even finished my sentence. He then proceeds to tell me that if I am choosing to remain unstable by not taking medication then there's nothing that he can do. This man is supposedly a specialist in cognitive behavioral therapy which can be done without medication which is why I went to him. He kept badgering me saying did I offend you? You are unstable aren't you? This man is a MONSTER!!!! I left his office completely in tears and shaking for two hours. I will be reporting him to whoever I can because he is a danger to anyone's mind who is exposed to him. I cannot believe this happened today and… that he is a practicing doctor.

Social and welcoming. Gives useful, objective, scientific and beneficial explanations/terminology for issues i am looking for answers to, and also provides alternative solutions as well. I always feel heard and respected and his humor helps make the session more “enjoyable.” I always leave with more clarity about the thoughts, circumstances and emotions I go to discuss and work through

I wish i could give this man zero stars. Can’t believe he calls himself a therapist. Rude, demeaning and completely ineffective. Also had his credentials suspended. Stay away

Dr. Mike has helped me deal with anxiety, addiction, existential issues, and so much more. He can be informal and blunt, but that is why he is so great. If you want someone who is honest, intelligent, and will speak to you on a personal level, give Dr. Mike a try. I understand that not everyone responds to the same treatment, but he could be exactly who you need.

He has had his license to practice suspended as a result of a board action. Confirm with the NYS office of Professional Disipline

When I got to his office it teamed of marijuana. It was a real turn off. I found him to be really uneducated and not professional. Please if you are having material problems he is terrible.

The worst ever. I have an addiction that i wanted to be treated for. And he tried to explain and convince me that the weed was good my me.i never asked for his personal opinion . I just wanted to get help
