Native of Gulf Breeze, FL. Dr. Michael Hennigan graduated from medical school at the University of South Alabama, then completed his residency at the University of Texas in Houston with rotations at MD Anderson. Serving 4 years with the US Public Health Service in North Carolina, he then moved to North Alabama where he and his wife raised 3 children and ran a successful practice for 20 years focusing on diabetes and lipid disorders. During that time, he also oversaw the Medicare program for the State of Alabama as a member of the Board of Directors of AQAF for 15 years. He was elected a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) as a result of his demonstrated quality of care.

In 2011, he was hired by Novo Nordisk as a regional medical director for the Philadelphia area. was promoted to US Medical Director for Basil Insulin where he oversaw the FDA approval and launch of Tresiba (insulin degludec). In 2017, he returned to medical practice in NW Florida and has now again opened his own private practice as GoodEndos, LLC.

He has always loved hiking, taking his rescued Irish Wolfhound, Millie, alongside him. At nearly 4 feet tall and 125 lbs, she’s basically a house-horse!
