Dr. Michael J. Klotz, MD

I have had multiple surgeries with URMC including 2 failed knee replacements (same knee) I found Dr. Klotz after being referred by a friend. He is absolutely the best! He fixed the problem the other dr ignored and it worked well for a long time however my ligaments stopped wanting to hold everything in place e so Dr. Klotz once again figured out the problem and gave me a solution and after the 4th Knee replacement I am back to walking with just a minimal limp, minimal discomfort, hiking ( in the adirondacks even!) He has given me my life back! I will be forever grateful!

Doctor Klotz and Doctor Daino saved my leg 24 years ago after a traumatic injury resulting from a car accident. All these years later and they still treat me like a family member. Amazing doctors and beautiful people.

I received from Dr. Klotz and Unity extensive instructions on how to manage my surgery and recovery and found the experience to be exactly what I was told it would be. My home health nurse declared my incision to be a masterpiece. I have recovered on schedule and have experienced very little pain.

Although healing is slow he has has given me hope!

My mother had her hip replaced by Dr. Klotz, he was great. His staff however is another story. Mom was having an issue after surgery and had a urine test for a uti. She called the office 4 days later to find out the results and left a message, no one called back. I called for her 10 days after the test and the office finally called back to tell her the sample was contaminated and she needed to have it redone. 10 days and no call back? My wife took her to Urgent care and she did have a uti. I would give the nurse a 0 rating for how my mother was treated.

He is the best! And his staff is excellent too! He is booked so far ahead that you have to wait months to get in for surgery! But that is because he is so good! I have many friends and family that have gone to him too.

I went to Dr. Klotz when I found out my first knee replacement was infected. I could have lost my leg. This Doctor saved my leg and was so thorough I cannot possibly thank him enough or put a limit on the stars I would give him for his expertise and surgical skills.

I am 1.5 years post-op from total hip replacement by Dr. Klotz. Doing very well. Dr. Klotz came highly recommended to me, and now I know why. I had a rough go before this, dealing with various complications from a different "minor" mesh surgery that lead to all kinds of problems. So, to say I was a little leery of having more surgery, let alone a hip replacement, is an understatement. I was scared. I'm only in my late 40's. I had a lot of questions. Other docs were very rude and didn't like answering questions, but Dr. Klotz took his time with me... answered all my many questions... and made me feel at ease about things. Not only that, but I healed very well.. follow-up care was excellent... and I have been walking again without a crutch or cane after years of needing one. Thank you, Dr. Klotz!!

TKR Surgery in Oct 2013. Very good outcome, no complications. Out of the hospital in 48 hours. Very good reputation , very competent. He also did my late husband's second hip replacement- good outcome {unlike the first one with another orthopod [he stayed 14 days in hospital with complications.] Which is one reason I chose him and also chose Unity Hospital. I admit it does take a while to get an appointment for an initial evaluation [2 months] because he is in demand. Will use him again for the 2nd knee.
