Dr. Michael W Lievens, MD

Dr. Lievens is a kind and caring doctor. I have had him for 15 years and he saved my life back then. I am one to not go the doctor like i should but when i do go (this time 15 years later) he is very personable. Busy man for sure but takes time to make sure you understand what is going on

During a procedure Dr. Lievens perforated my intestine. I complained about severe pain in recovery but was released without an exam. The delay in diagnoses almost cost me my life. I spent 28 days in the hospital, two major surgeries, a near death experience and now unemployable. I had to raid my 401K to pay medical bills. Very little follow up care. My first post op visit was spent having informed consent explained to me, no redress. What happened to me is just part of the overhead. After ten months the feeding tube is still in and the physical, professional, financial and spiritual destruction is now complete. Nobody is at fault. I rate my experience poor.

You are totally wrong. I found Dr. Lievens to be caring and very hard working. He is constantly on the go. He has helped me tremendously.
