Dr. Michael Frank Lurakis, DO

Dr. Lurakis specializes in internal medicine which makes the scope of his medical knowledge broader than most family physicians. He will spend all the time your problem requires to move you toward good health. He is a gem.

I have been a patient of dr Lurakis for many years. Being a patient of his now is simply intolerable. Can never see him. Staff is just rude saying routinely to go to urgi care. Finally left and found a wonderful doctor

Doc Lurakis has seen and solved a number of medical situations with me. As a partially disabled Vietnam Veteran, if you can name it, he probably has seen it with me. I've heard and read about some people complaining they have to wait, or they are put on hold when they call; think about this, when you are in the room discussing your health issues, does Doc Lurakis pull out a watch and say, oops, we are out of time. In all my years seeing Doc Lurakis; I feel like I'm talking to a friend who cares. In the summer of 1993, my parents were visiting. My mom went to bed and found my dad not breathing. I told my wife to call 911 and I started CPR. I was able to get him breathing just as the EMT's arrived. They took him to the hospital. I called the emergency number for Doc Lurakis and told him what happened. He took over, talked to the Doc's in the ER and arranged for a surgeon to implant a pacemaker in my dad. He was 92, and lived until 99 and 3 months. That's Doc Lurakis.

I find Dr Lurakis to be an extraordinary Doctor. Not many doctors are like him. He is caring,through, concerned for your well being and he listen (really listens to what you have to say). He does not rush you out of the office for the next patient. Some may not like that but when it is your turn you appreciate the time he spends with you. I have and do recommend him to my friends who may be looking for a doctor.

Never met a Doctor who cared more about his patients, than the money they generated. Takes whatever time he needs to get to know you and make sure you feel comfortable. Has always been there for me
