Dr. Maruyama repaired an Inguinal hernia, he was excellent every step of the way, from the consultation appointment to the last follow up appointment. Couldn't be happier. His office staff is amazing, professional, respectful and courteous which is rare in Fresno. Two thumps up for him and his staff.

Dr. Maruyama repaired and inguinal hernia, I was up and around the very next day, and back to work within 20 days. Both him and his office staff are excellent, very helpful.

Dr. Muruyama did a femoral hernia repair on me three weeks ago. I was a bit worried about the surgery and recovery. He did a fantastic job. My pain level the first couple of days was at about 1 to 2. After that my pain level was zero. I was up in able to do most everything except for lifting 4 days after. I went back to work after 10 days and honestly could've gone that sooner. The incision looks fantastic as well. Dr. Maruyama and his entire staff were wonderful.

I am glad that my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Maruyama for a hernia problem. The doctor is well experienced with the hernia procedure which allayed my concerns. His treatment of his patients and follow through are excellent. The procedure was done at the outpatient center of Clovis Medical Center â?? another good experience!

Dr. Maruyama is an excellent surgeon! I was concerned that I had put surgery off too long and as a result the situation increased. Dr. Maruyama put my concerns at ease and was VERY thorough. The procedure went exactly as planned and I was very happy. He wanted to see me for a few post-surgical visits to make sure I was healing properly and there was no infection. I am so happy that surgery is behind me and that I had such a great surgeon! My only suggestion is to improve the after-hours call service.

I had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Maruyama. The office visits were quick, with very little waiting. He explained all aspects of the surgery thoroughly and answered my questions. The surgery was done laparoscopically at a modern nice hospital (Clovis Community). My recovery has been smooth (I didn't even take any of the pain meds) and the post op appointment was literally a nine minute visit. He explained the pathology results (all good), took out the staples painlessly, and I was out and on my way. Dr. Maruyama is an excellent surgeon!

Dr. Maruyama is direct and clear in his communications. He gave me all the information I needed via brochures and his own explanations to understand the procedure I was to under go, a hernia operation - not a major operation, but every time you go under sedation for a procedure you do experience anxiety. Everything was efficiently handled and all the necessary appointments were made in good time. The procedure itself was done very quickly and efficiently. Judging by the quick healing and minimal scarring I experienced, I would rate Dr. Maruyama as a top-notch surgeon. He recommended the pain pump for post operative pain management and it was excellent - not in my way at all ( I had to hang the little ball of medication from my bra) and almost made me feel too good - I thought I could do more than I should have been doing and my husband had to practically hold me down for the first two days after surgery.

Iâ??ve never been operated on before so this was my first experience. I must say there was a lot of anxiety prior to my hernia procedure. However, the experience prior, during, and post operation was amazing. My pain level never exceeded a 4 (out of 10). In fact, aside for the first 24 hours, I didnâ??t need my pain medicine other than ibuprofen. I fully recovered after 2 weeks. Dr. Maruyama made me feel comfortable, confident and reassured that the procedure will go some. That it did. Staff is friendly to and love the fact that his procedures are done at Clovis Community Hospital.

I was impressed with the way that Dr. Maruyama explained the procedure, potential complications, etc. He did seem a little hurried, and didn't answer one or two of my questions right away, but overall I was pretty satisfied. Day of the surgery, he did a good job, and was quick, absolutely loved the hospital, recovery was short, and the Doctor competent and friendly. Would have preferred dissolving stitches as opposed to staples. Less scarring, no removal.

I had little knowledge of my condition(gallbladder), its' causes or its' effect, but the doctor took the time to explain to me in simple terms what was wrong, why and what my choices were. Once I decided on surgery his staff was very helpful in making my appointment when it worked best for me. A few days before the surgery I went to see the doctor and he assured me again with what to expect, drew on me where the incisions would be and answered my questions. There were no surprises. He explained everything, gave me realistic expectations about my recovery and I have not felt this good in years.
