Dr. Michael Scott Mersol-Barg, MD

My husband and I went to see Dr. Mersol-Barg after a very discouraging first IVF cycle at another clinic. After our first consultation we knew without a doubt we were in the right place. Dr. Mersol-Barg is full of compassion, hope, and knowledge. I said on multiple occasions throughout the process, no matter the outcome I was thankful to be at MRM. Thanks to Dr. Mersol-Barg and his amazing team, our one sweet embryo is 10 weeks old and will be joining our family in the fall. I am forever grateful!

My experience with Dr Mersol Barg was not good. I suffer from a condition that causes me to miscarry. Another RE found the root cause. After 2 years with him, all I was told that I was just fine. Once he gets you in and convinces you to do ivf, you’ll barely see him during the cycle. He lacks compassion as well. He will be very nice during the consult but be aware, reality once you get in and start a cycle is different specially if you have other medical issues during the process. You will get no support. Ivf is a difficult process. I would not recommend him.

I don’t have word to describe how blessed I am by going to dr mersol he is one of the best everything about him and his office is just excellent they are beyond amazing I can’t forget about melody she is the best The staff are awesome Since day one I went to them I never been disappointed they always make sure you are satisfied I will always recommend them to everyone I know. They are beyond awesome and amazing

Dr. Mersol-Barg was excellent to work with. He was empathetic to our pain in dealing with infertility through 12 years of trying. He made my wife feel at ease and even made her laugh on many occasions. He took the time to answer all of my questions and advise us based on his vast experience. His nursing and office staff is professional and caring. They all made our experience the best it could have been. Our first attempt was not successful, but we knew that the chances were good that we would need to try more than once to have a successful pregnancy. On our 2nd attempt we were blessed with twins!

Dr. Mersol- Barg and his entire staff were simply amazing! They made my wife and I extremely comfortable. Being an LGBT couple, you’re never sure how people are going to react when you say you want to start your family, but Dr. Mersol-Barg and his staff never treated us differently at all. From day one, they really made a frustrating process as easy as it possibly can be. I have PCOS and they never once told me that our dreams of having a child would stop because of my condition. They came up with a plan, and when that plan didn’t work, they reassured us with a plan B. They also have the best staff ever! Any chance we get, we tell people about the phlebotomist Chris. Having to get your blood taken every single time you go could be annoying, but Chris always put my mind at ease. He asks about your day and genuinely cares. The nursing staff is phenomenal as well! Every single time we went in for check-ups or monitoring, no matter who we had, I knew I was going to be taken care of.… They’re all so sweet and caring. They help you through the whole process, and literally cry with you when you get a negative test result. One cool thing that we really loved was their portal. I never once had to call to check on a test result, appointment time, or if they received anything I sent. It was all right there on the portal. It’s very user friendly and convenient. The best part about this place is what they do when they confirm your pregnancy. The moment Dr. Mersol-Barg saw my “little bean” he was glowing with excitement. He not only told us “congratulations”, but hugged us and said how happy he was that it finally worked. When we graduated from there, we were met by the entire staff with hugs, well-wishes, and a gift. The best thing is that they don’t’ just care for you during your journey to parenthood, they ask for updates along the way and truly want to hear how you’re doing. I can’t wait to show them our little miracle!

Dr Mersol-Barg and his entire staff are absolutely AMAZING!!! From the front desk staff when you first arrive, to the techs who draw your blood, and the incredible nurses— they really make you feel comfortable and like family here. Their office is so beautiful and updated as well. My husband and I struggled on our infertility journey for nearly 6 years. After finally getting the courage to reach out for help, we ended up going to a different facility. Fast forward a year or so, and we came to MI Reproductive Medicine. Dr Mersol-Barg really put our minds at ease and had a plan in place for us right from the start. A little over a year later, I got my first positive pregnancy test ever!! Dr Mersol-Barg and his amazing staff helped our dreams come true when I was beginning to think it was impossible. I would hands down reccommend this office to anyone who is struggling with infertility! If it wasn’t for them, we would still be going around in circles with no results. We can’t thank them… enough!! THEY MADE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!

Fertility treatments are daunting and stressful no matter what. However, I could not be more grateful I ended up Dr. Mersol-Barg's practice. Every single person on the staff is caring, attentive and makes you feel so much more at ease about the process. They are so willing to answer any questions (I asked millions through out the entire process). And Dr. Mersol-Barg is one of the most well-researched people I have ever encountered. They truly KNOW and do what's best for the patient. I am now 10 weeks pregnant after my first round of IVF there and I fully credit the entire staff for such a successful outcome. We had some hiccups along the way but they always had a plan B and we got to the goal. I could not recommend them more highly!

My husband and I initially came to Michigan Reproductive Medicine based on a referral from a former patient who had success. From the first phone call to set up a consultation the staff was very professional, kind, and considerate. Dr. Mersol-Barg was very attentive to our questions and concerns as we began our journey. He explained the process thoroughly in a very understandable and relatable way. His compassion and bedside manner are exemplary. I would highly recommend Dr. Mersol-Barg’s practice and encourage those to get an appointment in sooner rather than later. The team is focused on you getting the best outcome, but it can take time.

Dr Mersol-Barg was the second fertility specialist that we had seen in the 2 and half years of trying to conceive. We were starting to lose hope that it would ever happen for us. At our consultation appointment, he spent around 2 hours with us explaining the basics to us. I was able to bring in lab results from my previous specialist who had recently retired. In that first consultation Dr Mersol- Barg was able to give me a new diagnosis off of the labs that I had completed at the other doctors office. I was shocked to say the least, that after months at the other office the diagnosis was never brought up. We were given a plan and within 3 months we were pregnant. I am incredibly grateful to all the hard work that was done by dr Mersol-Barg and the staff at his office. They truly are the A- Team.
