Have you seen Dr. Michael Molinaro?
Great Physician - Great staff

Currently under treatment with Dr Molinaro. Very nice, professional, addressed my concerns and I am very pleased. I go approximately 3 times a week for UVB treatments. The staff is great. I manage an OB/GYN office and healthcare has changed drastically in the past 5 years, but Westwood Derm does its best with not letting it effect patient care. Bravo.

I saw Dr. Molinaro for the first time today and he is an excellent doctor. He has extremely pleasant demeanor and bedside manner, and is not afraid to have conversation and joke with patient. However, he is serious when needed, and is honest and thorough about your skin condition. I will definitely visit him again in the future.
Mercenary Skin Doctors of Westwood

Westwood Dermatology, also know as the Mercenary Skin Doctors of Westwood, is the least patient-friendly practice I have ever encountered. Considering that I've seen hundreds of officials as an editorial consultant to a leading physicians' business magazine over the past 25 years, I think this speaks volumes. First, be prepared to wait 30 to 90 minutes beyond your scheduled appointmen. With 9 doctors, you'd think they could alleviate this problem. But they haven't. Second, be prepared for staff and nurses who are like robots. Third, don't expect any information from the staff, such as whether the staff is running late or not. Fourth, be prepared for their form of innovative accounting in regard to the way that they code treatments. Even if your insurer covers this, we're all paying extra. And heaven forbid if you need surgery. I had Mohs surgery for two spots on my face. Would they do them on the same day? Absolutely not! Why? Because if they do a second procedure on the same day, that second procedure is only reimbursed 50%. Instead, the Mercenary Skin Doctors of Westwood have you do one at a time. This means two separate appointments for each procedure--or a total of 4 days that you have to take time off from work. Whereas, if the surgeon would do both at once, you'd only have to take time off from work on 2 days. But your inconvenience isn't a factor to the Mercenary Skin Doctors of Westwood. I've finally learned my lesson and move on to a new dermatologist.
