Dr. Michael Joseph Monzel, MD

Dr. Monzel identified an issue I had been struggling with for months where others had failed to. By ordering the correct blood test on my 1st visit to his office. Dr. Monzel likely saved my life and I will always be grateful to him & his staff who were so kind & helpful.

My mother went to a hospital that told her she had the flu and gave her a tylenol and sent her home along with a 16K ER Bill. She complained about her abdomen hurting and over 103 fevers. The next day I rushed her to her personal hospital and after examination he asked me "are you willing to take her the ER @ Palms West NOW" - I said yes. After he made the arrangement with PW he told me to drive safely but to make it NOW to the ER. After arriving within hours she was on strong antibiotics, the next day Dr. Monzel had done surgery in her abdomen. He discovered an abscess the size of a professional baseball that had ruptured in her intestines, causing her fevers. Dr Monzel came in after surgery and said mom had a 50/50 chance had the abscess not been discovered that day. She had to be on a colostomy for 3 months and later reversed. After giving birth to my last child, I developed severe constipation and was diagnosed with IBS-C by Dr. Monzel. The last 11 years he has been my go… to dr. He even discovered a tumor I had growing in my ovaries that required a complete hysterectomy. You're in great hands with Dr. Monzel.

Dr. Monzel has been my doctor for the past 5 years and I have never had any complaints, and the ladies there are just as great as he is!
