Dr. Michael Neil Rubenstein, MD

He is horrendous. While responsive for the first month. He becomes unresponsive very quickly. I had an allergic reaction to a drug I was placed on and neither I nor my primary could get a hold of him. He cares much more about his vacations then his patients and he has noone that covers for him when he is gone. Stay away. Far away.

Dr Rubenstein is one of the worst doctors that brings Penn's name down. He is complacent, gives the worst advices such as telling a sick person he got no chance in getting better and during the visit, pays more attention to his phone than the patient.

Very unsatisfied. Rushes in and out of the appointment leaving his nurse as my main clinician, even though I paid to see the doctor. He says very little to me, leaving his nurse to do all the talking, but what he does say to me has been rude and unprofessional, and he becomes even more rude when I ask questions about conflicting things he has said. He doesn't listen to what I say and is very unprofessional.

Dr. couldn't have cared less about my headaches, accused me of exaggerating and being "solution resistant"... just because HIS solutions aren't helping me doesn't mean that I'M solution resistant, it means we need new solutions! But he was unwilling to look for new solutions and just saw the entire situation as my fault. Trust me, I would love for my migraines to go away, so I am open to any solutions, but he got angry with me when I told him the ones he has suggested so far haven't helped. He doesn't let me talk, he interrupts and talks over me and doesn't let me actually tell him anything about the migraines, which makes treating me difficult if he won't even listen to what I'm saying. This is especially frustrating considering that every time I go in, he acts like he's just met me and asks me to explain everything to him from the very beginning of my medical history (dating back 10+ years), but then he doesn't actually let me talk. It wouldn't hurt for him to really quickly read my… chart before he comes into the room to see me? Every time I leave here, I leave so frustrated that I get new migraines...

when calling or emailing dr rubenstein with a question or concern he immediately calls or emails back very quickly. he is a caring knowledgeable doctor.

First visit looked promising. He seemed to pay attention to give an accurate diagnosis of my problem. He gave me 2 shots of nerve block which didn't seem to work also medication to try. That didn't work either. On second app. He basically shrugged his shoulders and said he was confused. He had an appointment and he was trying to get out of the office instead. Couldn't give any other referrals to see another dr. I gave him all the CDs he said his Radiologist wouldn't look at them w/o seeing attached papers the radiologist that took the x-rays adds. He left me high and dry. Still have the problem and now confused as to where to find help!!! More people should write reviews so future patients don't waste their time.

Recommended by my brother who had a stroke and is now fully recovered. I had some minor issues which he listened to, offered good options, set up appointments for further testing and with another top neurologist who agreed with him, followed through at the time and also a year later. Cannot say anything but excellent - my brother was right on.

He does not care about his patients in my opinion. Cancelled an appointment 4 days ahead of time after waiting WEEKS for an appopintment and basically gave me a limited reschedule or delay 1 1/2 months. Won't even call to talk to the patient. Relies on his unfriendly staff. Piece of crap!

Was rude in the way he introduced himself, and the appointment rapidly went downhill from there!Condescending and dismissive. Didn't listen AT ALL.Was eventually proven wrong in his assessment, but didn't acknowledge.
