Dr. Michael Steven Nagatani, MD

We picked dr Nagatani as our daughters pediatrician after he saw her in the hospital the day after she was born (the ped we originally picked was out of town) At 5 weeks old we took our daughter in with a list of symptoms. He listened to her heart and that was the extent of his examination. He told us she had allergies and to give her some pedia light for diarrhea. He made us feel like we were stupid and just over reactive new parents. That night she got worse so my husband made and appt for her at Mineral King Pediatrics. Her new doctor actually examined her and discovered she had a double ear infection, acid reflux, and he thinks a little bit of a cold( but the meds for ear infection would clear it up if she did anyway). We called the Visalia Med Clinic and informed them that we would not be paying for the appt we had with dr. nagatani because he failed to diagnose our daughter because he simply didn't care to examine her and they did not charge us for that appt. At only 5 weeks old… I was saddened that Dr. Nagatani wouldn't take more time to make sure our child was ok before dismissing our concerns.
