Dr. Michael L Shishov, MD

We have been seeing him for over 12 years. He has been a total godsend!!

We were referred to Dr. Shishov after 8 long years without a diagnosis..We went to see him 2007 and he diagnosed my daughter in 5 minutes with Parry Romberg Syndrome. A rare and in curable disorder. We have been seeing him ever since and he is a LIFE saver. He is kind and generous. He volunteers with the Arthritis Assoc, and even goes to camp with the kids! He donates not only his time but also his money so these kids have a wonderful experience. I even know his dogs name, lol. ( hannah) WE LOVE HIM!

I found this manner extremely pleasant. He was careful in taking the history and his physical examination.His communication skills were excellent and his knowledge was clearly the tops.He was extremely sympathetic and approachable to my granddaughter. Was totally up-to-date in his opinions regarding the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Absolute faith in him.

I can accept the fact that Dr. Shishov was unable or unwilling to help my child since her condition is very confusing and examining her is difficult. He did spend a lot of time researching and talking with other specialists. In the end, he wasn't convinced that my child had a condition that he could treat. The problem I have had is that when I have had appointments with other doctors at PCH, they see his name in my child's file and call him for consult, after which, they all come back and tell me her problems are behavioral and should be dealt with through psychiatry. Many years dealing with psychiatrists have not found a solution there, and anyway, we are talking about problems like headaches and muscle cramps and spasms. Again, I have no problem with him not working with us on treatment, but I resent his influencing other doctors against trying to help us figure out what is going on.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Shishov for about 4 1/2 years, and we couldn't ask for a more caring and compassionate Dr. I would not trust anyone else with her care.

Dr. Shishov is a blessing here in Phoenix.My son has a rare rheumatological disease and we used to have to fly to UCLA to see a specialist. Dr. Shishov is kind, caring, intelligent and very patient.

I would not recommend dr. shishov to no one he is very rude, and impatient. He does not care to hear what you have to say about your child. Just because I did not agree with him about something he told my child and I ''we are done here,'' and as we were leaving he said ''your not welcome back here anymore,'' I do not trust my child's health with any one who could say that to there patient. thank you

Dr. Shishov has been a wonderful physician for my young son with JRA. Prior to Dr. Shishov's arrival in the valley we had to travel to a specialist at Children's Hospital in San Diego. Their docs were kind and helpful, but not nearly as comprehensive as Dr. Shishov. His is up to date on the most effective medication protocols as they change - his treatment was much more aggressive then SDCH. My son went from a very severe case on JRA in more than 15 joints to full range of motion and medical remission within six months, and was rapidly improving throughout his treatment. My son really trusts and enjoys Dr. Heisler, which is really important for a five year old. I think he is great.
