Dr. Taxier joined Dr. May (retired) in Mid Ohio Gastroenterology in 1980 (which merged with two other practices to form Ohio Gastroenterology Group in 1996). He is a 1971 graduate of New York University in New York City and a 1975 graduate of the School of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Taxier completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in 1978, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation in 1980. He is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Ohio State University. Professional societies include ACP, in which he is a fellow, AGA, ASGE, and AGA. Dr. Taxier was awarded the Upjohn Achievement Award in 1975. Also, he has been awarded teaching excellence awards from the house staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Additionally, he has published several scientific articles related to gastroenterology.
