Dr. Michael Martin Wydila, MD

Dr. Wydila and his staff are so friendly and efficient. I've been there 3 times and each time I leave with great suggestions on how to improve my allergy symptoms and general health. Dr. Wydila spends so much time with me. I'm not rushed in and out like other doctors I go to.

Initial visit was extremely disheartening. I went into the office thinking i was getting allergy testing done. First, no one told me i couldn’t take Tylenol PM for a week before testing because it has antihistamines. So in order to justify a reason to charge my insurance for the visit, The Doctor, and his Nurse that interviewed me, were super rude, mean, and condescending to me. After attempting to reviewing my medical history, the nurse ignored everything that was written down, didn’t even bother to read any of the 6 pages of medical history i spent half an hour writing down, and kept talking over me. Then I told her I legally had my marijuana card, and her attitude got real nasty to me. You would think I had “scumbag” written on my forehead. Then the doctor comes in. After telling him THE SAME EXACT allergy symptoms I’ve suffered SINCE IN WAS VERY YOUNG (and they’re many). he tried blaming it “on a concussion from a car accident 3 years ago.” I never had a concussion, MRIs and… several other testing i did at the time would have caught that. The doctor didn’t care, he just wanted to hear himself speak the entire time. I left the office extremely upset And confused as to why I was treated so poorly. I haven’t fully gotten over the awful visit. Unfortunately I will go back to get my allergy testing because it’s convenient, and my PCP already submitted the referral. I don’t recommend this guy or his staff to anyone, unless you want to be talked down to and degraded the entire time.

Good doctor treats well;

The woman who did my breathing test introduced herself by her first name only, there was nothing to indicate to me what type of professional she was . She told me I needed a Ventolin treatment, which she gave me. The doctor then proceeded to tell me that I had the "lungs of an athlete", and that I should not be on a daily inhaler. But he never told me why I was given a breathing treatment. When I told him that I have a wheat sensitivity (this was exactly the terminology that my former allergist used after doing allergy testing) - he went on to lecture me about the difference between an allergy and a sensitivity. He said that he thought he might be sensitive to wheat also because he "sometimes feels sick after eating a soft pretzel". He did not listen to me, he was patronizing,, and when I said that i had decided NOT to have allergy testing at this time, he looked at me and said "Well then what did you come here for?" I am never going back.

I couldn't be happier with Dr Wydila or his staff. They are all wonderful, capable people who I trust completely.

Highly Recommend Empathetic Allergist

I wasted two years going to an ENT who thought he was an allergiest before having my allergies treated by Dr. Wydellia. That ENT was horrible and it was pretty clear he only cared about making money off me. Appointments every month, surgery, allergy shots, Nasal Scopes, etc.. In fact, I seemed to be getting worse under the care of the ENT. So, lesson of the story: If you have allergies, its best to see an allergist. Unlike this "other" experience, Dr. Wydellia focused on my allergy problems and has progressively worked with me to get my allergies under control. Overall, I would characterize him as an ethical "nuts and bolts" physician who knows his stuff (including the ENT stuff but without the monetary motivation to reccomend surgery) and works hard to get patients better using tried and true modern medical standards. I strongly reccomend him also for his excellent staff and great bedside manner. A true gentleman!
