Dr. Miguel David Attias, MD

Was a patient for years. Trusted him, as he seemed quite knowledgeable & empathetic. My primary dr had referred me to him. I had multiple in office & outpatient injections. None worked worth a squat. He did prescribe me pain medication, therefore I was the most comfortable I could be, w/ still a pain level of 6 to 7 most days. Was about to get a spinal stimulator implanted when symptoms got much worse. Decided to go for 2nd surgery (laminectomy & fusions) instead. Dr Attias said he’d be supportive of my decision. It was not the case. I really think he has some deal(s) going w/ these stimulator companies. Turns out, the stimulator I was going to get went out of business & declared bankruptcy. I received a letter in the mail stating this. Toward the end, Dr Attias seemed agitated, impatient & lost any empathy he previously possessed. My last appt with him ended up being cancelled, the weekend before (yes, the weekend, they were scrambling), he’d apparently up and left the practice… altogether. His appointments were being rescheduled w/ other physicians.He is now out on his own somewhere. Who treats his patients this way? Do no harm?! He may want to read back over the oath he took when he decided to become a dr.

He judged me immediately because of my tattoos . He called my ortho an idiot then gave me nerve damage while doing an injection. Stay away

I saw Dr. Attias several years ago for Occipital Neuralgia pain. I found his front desk staff very short and rude. I did see Dr. Attias an he was "ok", as to the way he treated me. He did complete my Pain therapy and yes, I did feel much better. I went back today to get my husband an appointment and his office manager, Cynthia, was downright rude. They don't smile, they rush you. I'm not bringing my husband back. They are awful.

he completely ruined my back and left me in horrific pain! he has no compassion and does not even return phone calls. his only reason was to make money at my horrible outcome! office staff depplorable.

Treated me like a low life criminal. Told me to find another doc in phone book. I have never been treated so badly in my life.

I was referred by my Ortho for a Shoulder pain issues. I visited Dr. Attias twice. The first appt. I had a long wait. The Dr. did some history and wanted to do MRI'S. On the 2nd visit. They handed me a cup to pee in before the visit. I don't see why. He did not prescribe any pain medication to begin with. I felt very insulted by this. I don't smoke or even drink any alcohol at all!! I told him everything about my pain issues and left thinking that he did not get it at all. He was very nice and polite. I did just get the feeling that he wanted to do injections without even looking at my meds to see if any of them could be and issue to the pain. I feel both appts were a waste of time.

Dr. Attitus is a bit aggressive as far as pushing you to try things like steroid injections. He doesn't just throw pain medication at you. He believes long-term use of narcotics can be dangerous. I think he does have issues with the manner in which he comes across. Once he sees that you are willing to try other things besides just wanting narcotics he seems to be ok with prescribing them if nothing else helps. The lady who works the front desk is snotty most of the time (Fletcher office). I always have to wait at least an hour if not longer which is ridiculous since I am there because I have chronic pain.

I don't k know what doctor these negative reviews are from, but I can tell you, as a caregiver to my mother inlaw, THIS Dr. Attias has anwonderful bedside manner, the office (Oldsmar) is squeaky clean, and we are respected by all staff at all times! Without THIS Dr. Attias, my mother inlaw would not be walking! He is very compassionate, and takes the time to listen! I'm not a patient, however, I go to each appointment and Dr. Attias is amazing to my mother inlaw, treats her with immense respect, and also helps her with her pain. If I had insurance, I would go to Dr. Attias in a friggen heartbeat! Thank you, that is all!

Dr. Attias is not a nice person at all. He is very kind on the very appointment and after that treats you like dirt. If you are looking for someone with a nice disposition and bedside manner, DON'T GO TO THIS GUY! He is arrogant , conceited and condescending.

This man is very aggressive. He does not give patients any options in the care or procedures that he wants them to undertake. He Is crass, rude, uncaring and refuses to listen to his patients. He will make assumptions about you and has an ego comparable to that of every single human beings on the earth all rolled into one. If you do not let him lay you out on a table and jam needles into you every other month, he will threaten to take your medication away from you. I can not tell you how disgusted I am with this "Doctor". I can not WARN you strongly enough to STAY AWAY from this practice. His staff is rude, ignorant and as uncaring as he is. In fact, I have not had a single experience where he or his staff actually told me anything that was true. If you are looking for help with debilitating pain and you want a concerned, caring physician, I beg you to keep searching.
