I went there for the first time today, went in with a good attitude and open minded. I walked in and the nurses were very rude, I went back to see the doctor and as soon as he walked in he had nothing but an attitude and treated me like I was a monster drug addict. He kept talking over me and would not let me talk at all. He’s very rude and so are all the nurses in there. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. He’s an insurance scammer.

I went to see him today and as soon as he walked into the room with me he had a bad attitude being very smart with me, made fun of me for being on Prozac. The nurse (not sure her name) treated me terribly with attitudes too. He treated me as if I was this monster drug addict. Do not recommend this place to anyone...

I went to him for 8 months , had many many epiderals on my lower left side and one on my right lower back. I could not understand why he wouldn't give me another on my right side since that is where the daily hourly pain is. He stood there and told me to fix pain on right side he has to give epideral on left side. Well I'm here to tell you, he's a liar I went to another specialist he was very,upset and informed me that Simons has lost,his license a few times. He also changed my pain meds because I wouldn't schedule epideral on my neck that I have recently seen surgeon AT. A SPINE CENTER. Was told needed surgery. Almost for got received nerve blocks and tip injections also. A doctor that doesn't look you in the eye or cannot be in a room with you. Alone....dont trust them. He didn't care about me he only cared that he could burn my insurance up.

I read all these reviews and was really expecting to see a monster, but man was I fooled, really nice guy that seems very knowledgeable in his field. So for all you Dr, shoppers I suggest you go elsewhere. And also his nurses are very nice and respectful. Clean reception and exam rooms.

Talks down to you. Places you on medication that you tell him has caused you issues. Tells you that you haven’t tried them with him. End up having life threatening reactions. Gave me a urine test. Yelled at me in front of other patients and staff and told me there wasn’t a trace of anything not a trace and told me I had a problem. Came back the next week and was told that the same urine that had not even a trace had all kinds of meds that I don’t take and never have taken. Said there was Valium which is a benzodiazepine. He knew I was taking Lorazepam which is a benzodiazepine twice day for the last three months. Never have had a bad urine test before this and I had been with my first pain dr for 6 years never any problem. Was only seeing this dr for 1 1/2 years. Makes no sense. Had major back surgery 6 years ago, also have 7 bulging discs, 3 pinched nerves, and 2 bone spurs all in my neck. Took away all my meds and I ended up in the hospital with my bp at 239/109 and constant muscle… spasms in my lower back where I had already had surgery and with my neck in so much pain they had to knock me out. Violated hippa. Threw my chart onto the examining bed and told me I didn’t have a clue while he smirked and then laughed at me. Told me the insurance can’t tell him what to prescribe and what can’t be prescribed by him. Bad turnover in staff. I felt humiliated and let down. He didn’t care about me or my pain and could care less how much pain I was in. Changed drs and now have an appt with the new dr next month.

I have seen him for over 4 years. The office has given me 3 drug tests during that time. This is just to ensure I am taking the meds that he prescribes. There is a lot of new patient paperwork which includes signing an agreement to not take controlled substances from another doctor. He is a highly skilled physician, getting the epidurals and nerve blocks in the exact spot needed. His nursing staff are caring and go to extra measures to ensure a patient's comfort.

I saw him for 3.5 years. yeah, I know, I was stupid. During that time I did not have even one drug test even though my insurance company was asking for test results. I was never asked to sign an agreement to not take controlled substances from another doctor. He is either unskilled or delibertly made procedures as painful as possible. I have had epidurals preformed by other doctors with almost no discomfort. I would cry, scream and squeeze the table as hard as possible when he did them. He always sent patients out the back door in a wheelchair after them. All other places I went I would walk out through the waiting room. When I told him I decided to have surgery. He didn't appear happy to hear that. After surgery I was no longer in pain and told him I wanted to start weaning off the medicine. He told me I still needed it for fibro. lol, I don't have fibro. I took the prescription he gave me, made an appointment for the following month. I never had any intention of going… back. I filled the last prescription and started weaning myself. I was off all pills within 8 weeks. He insisted I take Celebrex. While on it I had a stroke. As a result of the stroke I now have seizures. I can't say for sure that the stroke was caused by the Celabrex but I have/had no reason to believe I would have a stroke. I was healthy, except for a deformed back. I asked my neurologist to send a letter stating that I should no longer take Celabrex or gabipentin. Simons never prescribed them again. When I told him I had had a stroke he didn't even acknowledge what I said. I don't know what he is going to do now that the FDA is cracking down on the amount of meds doctors can prescribe. For the record I am against the FDA actions. I know pain patients need proper treatment and that often involves high doses of pain meds. As far as Simons, I mentioned his name to a paralegal friend and her eyes just about bugged out. She said he is sued more than any doctor in Cincinnati.

I don't see him anymore he put me on to much medicine and it made me have strokes and seauer he said I am washing my hands. He is a jerk.s

worst doctor I have ever been too, on my first visit he cut 75 percent of my pain med with no warning, just cold turkey, bullied me into an injection which hurt extremely bad , he was rough rude and cold, if I tried to explain ANY THING at all he got mad and yelled at me even walked out of the room...its the worst doctor visit ive ever experienced, even people in the lobby were complaining...never going back
