Dr.Kadakia is a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He did his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. At the completion of his interventional cardiology training, Dr. Kadakia was awarded the Gregory Braden Memorial Fellow of the Year Award by the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). This award is given annually to one interventional cardiology fellow in the nation who is chosen for their skills in interventional cardiology, contributions to cardiovascular research, published articles and promising future in interventional cardiology. He has published his research on interventional cardiology and structural heart disease in several leading cardiovascular journals. Dr. Kadakia is particularly interested in percutaneous treatments for valvular heart disease and is excited to be part of the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) team at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
