Dr. Mohammad Farivar, MD

Dr. Farivar treated me at Baptist Mariners Hospital in the Florida Keys and he had already read up on my history in readiness for my visit. He was kind, explained everything to me where I could understand it and completely put me at ease. He is the BEST

Dr. Farivar is a wonderful, knowledgable and caring doctor! I feel at ease with him and he always takes his time with me. He releaves my anxiety with just his presence and good nature. I am happy and blessed to be a patient of his. He has also helped me with my symptoms and issues right away. The staff is also wonderful and all seem to work very well together and have the patient's as priority.

The number 1 caring doctor in New England I have been with him for 36 years I wish he was my primary the most caring loving doctor around he spends time and really cares about his patients and spends as much time with you until your problem is fixed I hope he never leaves.

Dr. Farivar is a great all around doctor. My sister and I both see him and he was great to my mom when she was alive.

I really wanted to like this doctor. He was very polite and personable - himself - but that's about all the good I'll have to say. I was referred to Dr. Farivar by my pcp as I had serious stomach/reflux issues. The first visit - though the office staff is very nice, they clearly double and triple book and I waited a VERY long time (over an hour). No excuse. Once I saw the doctor, he ordered tests, and an endoscope which showed I had severe burns in my esophagus and my LES wasn't closing properly. He prescribed a strong form of PPI. Over a year goes by and I did ok, but then that drug wasn't working so I returned. More over booking, and he pretty much dismissed anything I read or researched and just told me to take a stronger PPI. If you research PPIs, they aren't a good thing to stay on. He also said we could discuss surgery. 2.5 years into treatment I was so bad that I insisted on another endoscope and this one showed that I was much worse and now had gastritis too - my… stomach lining was badly burned. At that time I contacted a nutritionist. Gave her all of my bloodwork and test results and she went over everything. I came OFF the PPIs and began a very different diet and herbal supplements. After the first week I felt better than I had in 2 years. 6 months into this new way of eating (wholefoods only, nothing processed, even whole milk, real butter, and supplements to help heal my stomach/esophagus) I am a new person!! She (nutritionist) told me that I did NOT suffer from high acid - but I did suffer from LOW acid and taking PPI drugs only worsen that. Even after seeing my 2nd WORSE endoscope Dr. Farivar said to KEEP TAKING the drugs. AND the drug manufacturer had on their website not to take for more than 6 months. I was on 8 months at the top dose the whole time. (dexilant) Really not cool. I could go on and on here. But suffice it to say Dr. Farivar may be a nice guy, but he's in it for the money and in bed with the drug companies and his office staff are severely short handed. I'll never go back, nor will I refer anyone to this man. I'll stick to my nutritionist, and a super good diet. Dr. Farivar NEVER even ASKED about my general diet - just said to stop energy drinks and coffee. He shrugged at what I researched and was very dismissive. How this guy and sleep at night is beyond me.

Was impressed with his professionalism, kindness and concern for my well being. Very knowledgeable.His staff was attentive to my needs and very helpful.It seems that lately at doctors appointments they try to get you out the door quickly. Dr. Farivar took plenty of time with me and made me extremely reassured with my health.I would strongly recommend Dr. Farivar.

I made a query from Dr Farivar, by E-Mail concerning info. on his website ( from Australia ) His response was extremely prompt and helpful and in line with similar info. I had received from specialists here in Australia.
