Dr. Molly Rae Fortner, MD

I had to see Dr. Fortner instead of my typical PA. It was the worst doctors appointment I have ever had. Instead of listening to my concerns, she immediately just sent referrals to an ENT. I had swimmers ear, which should have been easily diagnosed in her office. She seemed to have wanted me to get out of her office ASAP and has no personality. Go see PA Jessica or Paige at the office. They're amazing.

Few Physicians match Dr. Fortners in care.

Dr. Fortner is a superb doctor who is caring, competent, personable, and has great bedside manners.

Dr. Fortner could not care less during my visit. She seemed unconcerned and just wanted me to get out of her office. Not very nice to work with for a primary care doctor, finding a new doctor at another practice.

The term customer experience is applied to every industry. Physicians are not exempt from the need to recognize patients are in fact customers. I pick her office location as it’s convenient to my uptown office. I wait over a month for an appointment. I’m healthy, no medical issues, but recently turned 50. A good occasion for a complete physical. Blood work, urine test, chest X-ray, standard stuff. All fully defined in the appointment request. I am asked to show up 15 minutes early. It’s a 3pm appt so I’ve been fasting all day (as instructed). Upon arrival I’m told Dr Fortner is running at least an hour behind. I ask, can we go ahead and do the blood work, etc. while we wait? It will help her to catch up and not waste an hour or more of my time. “Sorry we cant do that”. Why I ask? It’s why I am here. “Sorry can’t do it until she sees you.” My response...goodbye. My time is not unimportant and these basic is tasks could easily have been performed. Service and appropriate… regard for customers is foundational to any business. I’m a paying customer and will take my business elsewhere. You can and should do better Dr Fortner.

She is the most competent doctor I have visited in past 20 years. Her diagnostic ability is unmatched. She has saved my life by accurately diagnosing my medical condition where other doctors have failed.

Truly one of the worst doctors I've seen. Extremely unprofessional, boring and terrible bed side manner. Overheard her tell her nurse that I "didn't look sick so must be fine". Very rude and snotty personality. You're better off diagnosing yourself than seeing her because she won't do anything for you except give you attitude.

Dr. Fortner is thoughtful, analytical, competent, personable, truly caring, and communicative. She is an exceptional doctor. She along with her nurse Doan are a superbly unmatched team.

A written outline of test results after a physical is needed for the patients records. I am always asked to come back in but that is not what I want to do to go over the tests for just a physical. I want mailed results as done in seeing doctors prior to my current doctor.

Dr. Fortner is the best, she is a kind and caring doctor. She is so good I had my husband go to her for his primary care doctor also.If my children lived here in Charlotte, I would recommend that they also go to her!
