Dr. Monika Chaudhari, MD

I went to five doctors and no one could figure out what was wrong with my child. She did! She saved my child's life!!!!

I took my daughter to Dr. Chaudhari. My daughter was having classic thyroid problems...slow growth, depression, lethargy. As a mom, I knew something wasn't right. I was totally dismissed and made to feel like a "paranoid parent". Less than two years later my daughter was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease. Dr. Chaudhari did not test for presence of "proteins" in my daughter's blood, which helps to catch Hashimoto's disease in its early stages. Now, with proper management from another doctor, my daughter is doing really well. It's just ashame that the proper tests weren't run so the Hashimoto's disease could have been found earlier!

My overall impression of this doctor is good. She gets to the point of things and doesn't really sugarcoat anything which is what a doctor should be. That is a way in which her caring shows. Because of her my child is doing great in dealing with type 1.

My daughter suffers from Turner syndrome and thus has weight issues. The doctor was demeaning about her weight, failed to recognize that although my daughter was developmentally delayed she could still understand some of what was being said. She seemed more interested in her text messages than us.We were told she was one of the best in the US. Our visit with her was a grave disappointment. We followed up with another physician who was kind, considerate and caring and informed our referring doctor of our interaction. He did not seem surprised and said we were there for medical care and not friendship. I said we were there for medical care and respect. He no longer is making referrals to this obnoxious woman.
