Went there years ago as a new patient, asked me why I was on the blood pressure medication I was on ,told him that’s what the last doctor put me on ,he change my medication never told me to monitor it ,a few weeks later my pulse rate that always was around 60 to 63 was at 100 ,change doctors ,went back to my old medication been fine since.

Been under Dr.Vittengels care for years. Began with his immediately identifying the wrong medication that was prescribed by another Malta physician. He is very good in not over prescribing excess medications and is a great listener and efficiently identifies and clearly explains ones health concerns and what tests treatments and medications if any are important to treat them. Find Dr. V extremely friendly and personable in caring about his patients. The staff are also friendly and am puzzled by claims of premises being described as unclean.

Went to Dr. Vittengl for my annual physical since moving to area. Told him about recent heartburn I'd been having along with some other minor things. He immediately did an EKG, called a cardiologist to get me an appt. for a stress test that day and by the end of the day I was in the cardiac unit at Albany Med waiting for double bypass open heart surgery. I was a week to a month away from a fatal heart attack. Other doctors might have told me to take antacid for the heartburn and get back to them. I owe my life to the doctor. Would recommend him highly. My wife sees Michelle Ryan for all her health needs and loves her. Great practice.

One of the worse dr offices in Saratoga County! Extremly poor office mgmt! Lack of care to patients. Do not go here if you want quality medical services. I've been going here for almost a year and half and the staff turn over is crazy. Extremely rude and obnoxious staff. They are not about patients only money! So if you need refills you are up a creek. They are all about getting money and not helping patients at all! Please look elsewhere for good quality medical services. Dr. Office is run down, lack of clean air, exceptionally outdated and always smells. Everything is dirty in waiting rooms and rooms for patients.

I went here for the first time as it is close to my new home. I just moved here from Texas. I walked into the office and no one was at the front. When the older lady finally arrived -no smile-she said what do you need? I completed all the paper work and was immediately asked to pay full price of the visit upfront. I explained to her the I had an HRA at my insurance company that pays the deductible for me. She refused to listen and I walked out of my appt. I went home and contacted Community Care , they seem to have a lot of doctors and lots of locations including several specialities within. I gave them my insurance of the phone and explained to her I had an HRA at my insurance company that pays my deductible , she was very familiar and seemed to be an expert at insurances. She stated they will collect nothing at time of service. WOW.. somebody listened and heard what I was saying and actually knew health insurance. Dr. Vittengl's office could have done that same thing and they would… have had a new patient-well actually 6 new patients as I have a family of 6. I am glad I did not pay and decided to walk out. Malta Medical was my first impression of healthcare in New York and I am so glad I called elsewhere . My family and I are all patients of Community Care now and we are always welcomed with a smile.

Please do not go here, I have been in the medical business for over 30 yearsand I know what good care is. The staff are terrible and you are never greeted with a smile. I hear most of the staff is family, I am sorry but just because your family needs a job DOES NOT MEAN you SHOULD hire them. Jane is not friendly . The secretary looks like she should be going out on a Friday night to collect ones and fives. I have been going to MMC for twenty years. They used to have good staff years ago. I think her name was Shelley- she was fast efficient and knew my name when I came through the door. She excelled at customers service. I hate to say this but after 20 years I am going to find a new doctor , at 60 this is not what I want to do. The care has gone down and the staff are just not people friendly
