My conversation ended in less than 5 minutes and pretty much the entire time I was cut off when I tried to speak on my symptoms. I couldn’t fully get into specifics about anything that was bothering me because he would interrupt and change the topic. It was like they came to their own conclusion on what was going on and didn’t want to explain otherwise and I’m left with more questions than when I spoke to him. It ended with him saying I have anxiety, shutting out any attempts to ask questions and him just ending the video call on his own. All I was looking for was a diagnosis on my symptoms, a prescription (if at all possible), and for some sort of explanation for whats bothering me. It was almost like a joke on how it actually played out.

Dr. Nabil Siddiqi is a genius straight up, and a complete boon to the field of psychiatry. Actually treats psychiatry like a medicine and not a counseling service and doesn't try to be your friend. Will tell you straight up the honest truth and spend little time chit chatting or blaming like most do. Actually diagnoses and meets proper diagnosing criteria. Tries to understand the whole picture and doesn't assume. Will straight up tell you the pros and cons of his treatment which is the right thing to do for patients who may be paranoid and struggling to decipher what's real and what isn't. Understands the danger in not adopting healthy coping mechanisms, and keeps his own mind in check by following his own advice. He will only use telemedicine calls when the work environment gets stressful, which is a very healthy coping mechanism. Best doctor I ever had. I think my life is permanently changed because of him. I will always remember the amount of respect I have for this guy,… because he highly respects himself and the importance behind his field of work.
