Dr. Nancy Anne Nelson Taoka, MD

A while back, a patient came in who was a teen and was vaping, the concerned parent was against their child vaping, knowing it was bad and asked what Dr.taoka thought, she said it’s just like having a vaporizer in your child’s room, which couldn’t be more wrong. She said it was okay for him to vape.

She sent my daughter out to specialists for everything, I over heard her talking negatively about another patient

My 2 boys have gone to Dr. Taoka for 15 years. She is calm and great with kids. She always takes the time to answer ALL of my questions. She is knowledgeable and thorough with her exams and appropriately refers to specialists when needed. I am so grateful she has been my kids' doc.

Our 11 yr old and 7 yr old have been with Dr. Taoka their entire lives. Dr. Taoka's practice is "old school" in that it's not part of a big office with night or weekend appointments. However, she is simply an outstanding doctor. She knows each patient by name and history. She explains things well, and covers up to date medical research. Other than needing separate waiting rooms for well-visits and sick-vitis, we've been very happy with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr Taoka is very old school. She has a set way of doing things and really does not want to change. If you like waiting for a very long time, and being advised on how to parent as part of your regular wellness checks, you will like her practice. I have a hard time understanding how she expects a toddler to wait in a small room for sometimes an hour or more, and then mention that the child should really be a little less energetic. She is thourough and is undoubtadly qualified but really needs to update her practice to be more aligned to time constraints of working parents and energetic children.

Terrible administrative policies. Not professional. No lab in the office so you need to make extra trips to a lab if your children need any lab tests.
