Dr. Narciso Rodriguez has the following 2 specialties
Anesthesiologists are physicians who are trained to administer anesthetics, which are medicines used to block nerve sensation. Anesthesia can be either local to one specific part of a body, like a tooth, or regional to block feeling to a larger portion of the body, such as during an epidural for child birth. It can also be more general to block sensation to the entire body, resulting in unconsciousness.
Anesthesiologists assist in surgery by determining how much anesthesia is necessary and by monitoring the patient's level of responsiveness and vital signs throughout the procedure. The anesthesia specialist will also bring the patient out of anesthesia and then continue to monitor his or her vital signs post-operation.
Besides assisting in surgeries, anesthesiologists may also treat patients suffering from chronic pain.
- Pain Management
A pain management specialist is a physician with advanced knowledge and training in diagnosing and treating pain. These doctors do not come from one particular discipline, but rather use their respective backgrounds to contribute a varied approach to the field of pain management.
These specialists use their different skills and training in pain management to treat pain stemming from different causes - whether it's neuropathic pain or headache, or the result of injury, a surgical procedure, cancer or another illness.
Pain management specialists are primarily trained as anesthesiologists, physiatrists, interventional radiologists, neurologists, osteopaths, or primary care physicians.

Dr. Rodriguez is a very compassionate, intelligent doctor. However, he is lost in a system that in itself is a complete nightmare. He works for owners of this "clinic" who have NO compassion for patients and are strictly in this business for the money. Pain patients are very limited to help in this area and many drive hours for help. There are too many patients-they are crammed in like cattle. And quite frankly treated as such. I have personally had to wait over 3hours to be seen-with an addl 2hours of driving time. Not great for a chronic pain sufferer! I have heard other nightmares-such as a patient waiting 8 hours just to have a prescription corrected. As a patient, you are definitely at their mercy. Speaking of mercy--there is none. Too many patients, 1doctor and 2 pa's that just quit equals cancelled appts, no courtesy and patients that are kicked to the curb! Forget about your scheduled medication being refilled. They don't care! It's your problem! Staff is discourteous and uncaring. Exactly the opposite of what a chronic pain sufferer needs. Your pain is never accurately evaluated. I used to be asked how my pain was during the month-now I am asked how I feel at that moment. That is NOT an efficient assessment of pain! Monthly urine tests, while maybe necessary because of past abusers, are demeaning. All patients are ordered to empty their pockets, leave their belongings on the floor (not in a locker) and even pull their pockets out of their pants. This is all done in front of other patients--no privacy. Most patients, including me, are forced to put out with this obscene treatment simply because there is no other help available in this area. Shameful!!! The only star I would give is one for Dr. Rodriguez-for trying.
I have seen this doctor over a period of about three years for chronic pain. I find him and his staff uncaring and unprofessional in every way. You are punished for missing a appointment for any reason and given taper doses of normally prescribed medicines. A opiod tolerant patient would like to depend on a doctor and his medical staff at all times especially in a time of crisis. There is no one on call or any type of answering service in this practice. Also, the same is done when they make mistakes in ordering proper lab testing which resulted in a avoidable trip to the emergency room in my case. I highly discourage anyone to seek help from this practice. What has happened to our health care system? Why should patients suffer at the hands of people they thought were there to help their own doctor?
