Dr. Desai is one of the best specialists I've seen. It takes a lot to fully trust any doctor with your eyesight. However, Dr. Desai's calm nature and professional competence in his area of specialty has more than earned my respect and trust.

I have been under Dr. Desai's care for two years for a corneal ulcer and subsequent corneal transplant. He is an outstanding surgeon and I wouldn't want to see anyone else for a serious corneal issue. However he is so busy that each visit seems rushed and I inevitably feel after every appointment that I didn't get all my questions answered. At times I am asking questions as he is walking out the door. I understand that he is busy, but he could take a few moments to check in at the end of the appointment to make sure there aren't any residual issues, concerns or questions.

I have been treated at the Eye Institute of West Florida for many years. Dr. Desai has completed 4 cornea transplants on me and this one is healing. He has done what no other surgeon could do for me! I AM GAINING MY VISION BACK!
