Dr. Nitesh Ratnakar, MD

Went to Dr. Ratnakar's office today for a scheduled appointment. Unfortunately I misread my calendar and arrived 17 minutes late (according to the office attendant) and was refused service. I have waited long periods for service in this office but my 17 minute lateness resulted in rescheduling. If this is the way Dr. Ratnakar wants to treat patients I don't care to have him as my gastroenterologist any longer and will seek another doctor. I have waited for assistance in the office and at the hospital for long periods of time yet my 17 minutes were unacceptable! Also, in all the years that I have had him as a doctor I have only seen him very, very briefly two times for a total of probably less than 5 minutes total.

This doctor wouldn’ t tell me my father’s diagnosis after a procedure. I was told he would be out soon but he never came. The nurse told me wrong diagnosis. He was one who should have talked to me. Later my father was in Wheeling Hospital dying because of lack of care from Dr. Ratnakar. When I said I wanted him moved to save his life this Dr. never came back into room. I am only writing this to save someone else. My father was moved and saved. Dr. Ratankard should not be in medicine.

Worst Doctor, patient experience ever. Can never see the Doctor only his assistant. Will never go back to him. I am getting a new doctor who really cares about his patients!!!

Lacks surgical experience

When you visit this office, you never see the Dr. Instead you see mid level providers who schedule you for tests with the Dr. The Dr. then has you go to the facility for your procedure where you meet him the day of the procedure. The Dr. is always late & always in a hurry. He makes you feel like a number, not a patient.

Great Doctor! Wonderful experience. Excellent surgical skills. He fixed my chronic pancreatitis that I was suffering from for man years. God Bless!

Excellent bed side manners, Excellent clinical skills. I had problems with my Endoscopy with multiple doctors. He not only managed to complete my endoscopy but is was also comfortable, painless and thorough.

Excellent Physician. I had a stomach problem that I have dealt with for many years and no one was able to diagnose the problem. Dr Ratnakar was very meticulous in his work up and found out and appropriately treated my problem.
