Dr. Noel Ming Chia, MD

Dr. Noel Chia was my doctor for 20 years or more. I adored him, and thought he was very caring, and took very good care of me. I even gave him a gift of some fun socks with stethoscopes and pills on them, he loved them. Told me his son would be happy because he wore boring socks. I moved out of the area and received a letter years ago he was retiring, and I sent him a card. He was always very thorough. Mis him as my primary care doctor.

I often hear of how quiet Dr.Chia is, sometimes misunderstood for bad bed side manner. I disagree, although, he is quiet I appreciate that he fully listens to my issues, and with obvious knowledge responds, evaluates, orders tests. I have always left his office feeling that he provided me with excellent care and treatment. As well as compassion and I never feel like I am an inconvenience as I have with many other doctors and their staff. Speaking of staff, not sure if Dr.Chia controls it, but his Assistants are always above and beyond! His current male assistant is amazing, foresees things before you do. Unfortunately, due to an array of unexpected medical issues I have had to see many doctors and Dr.Chia is a standout. Believe me, appreciate excellence when receiving it! I have been going to Dr. Chia for several years as my GP and he is one of the few that actually takes the time to talk/listen and discuss my healthcare.

I can't find a more caring medical professional. I appreciate that if he doesn't know an answer to something or needs to defer to a different doctor for a diagnosis, he doesn't hesitate making his best recommendation. He's a great listener, evaluating what he hears. I trust him implicitly. He's a great doctor.

Dr. Chia's formal/cold manner in dealing with me as a patient is not what I expected. I don't expect to have my hand held as we discuss my health issues, however, his approach is rather uncaring and in a hurry to get to the next patient. He may be a great practitioner but his bed side manner is very bad.

I have been seeing Dr. Chia for several years. He has helped me through some difficult diagnoses.I would highly recommend Dr. Chia to anyone looking for a caring and patient general practitioner.
