Dr. Olga Fishman has the following 3 specialties
- Clinical Neurophysiology
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

After several months of suffering from an undiagnosed health condition, Dr. Fishman suggested that I possibly may have MS. When we asked if there was a possibility that I could have Lymes Disease she quickly became defensive suggesting that she doesn't believe in chasing the "lymes hype." If you like any amount of empathy do not schedule an appointment with Dr. Fishman. She then proceeded to tell me to "suck it up buttercup." One week later I received my confirmed Lymes diagnosis. Two weeks later I am feeling better! Please save yourself the misery and do not schedule an appointment with this woman.
This doctor is as unprofessional as they come. Very rude, no compassion, and just plain nasty. She has no business being in the medical profession. As a doctor you should be able to speak to a patient about their presenting problem and not answer those questions like you are bothering her. Crystal Run needs to do something about this doctor. Because of her I will not waste a dime seeing any other professionals at Crystal Run Health Care. She needs to take a class on Professionalism in the work place.
I have been seeing Dr.Fishman for almost a yr now for migraines. I find her to be a very kind, caring and compassionate doctor. She took the time to over my meds and test results and she answered all the questions I had. I like the fact that if there is a problem she calls you not a nurse. Would recommend her to anyone.
I've seen plenty of doctors but none have been more memorable in so many ways than Dr. Fishman. As she sauntered into the room looking as if she had just rolled out of bed hungover and moody, she sat down without even a glance and began typing. I ran through what symptoms had been occurring (while being continually 'mmhmmd' and interrupted rudely). She seemed genuinely unconcerned for her patient's well-being and was resistant to do any testing and tried to pawn me off to other areas of the medical center since it seemed like just an inconvenience to her. Eventually I was able to see MUCH better neurologists who were able to come to an appropriate diagnosis and had more than a smidgen of bedside manner who treated me properly. How this woman still has a job with such a broad general consensus of terrible experiences is truly mind blowing. Unprofessional, sloppy (in practice AND appearance), and overall a failure. It makes me wonder who she married to actually get this job. Also, please make sure your fly is zippered going forward (as i see from other reviews this is an issue).
