In reading the other reviews of Dr. Binford, I'm wondering if I just caught him on a bad day! He did my eye exam and then said nothing to me. I had heard him indicate to the nurse/assistant a few things she entered into the computer. He had said something about a gland that was deteriorated (or something like that) as he was calling out information to her. He had said nothing about cataracts, which I knew I had, so after the exam, I finally asked him if I should have surgery to remove them. His response was "if you want to" .... and that was it. That was the extent of our communication. I was so taken aback by his lack of communication that I didn't say anything further. VERY strange!

I have no problem with stating that Dr Binford knows his profession. He has a great pleasant staff. But..I have one important problem with my surgery. I am claustrophobic and have a big fear when it comes to my eyes. I am totally terrified of anything being done to my eyes. I cant help it. I was told that I would not know anything being done and would not remember anything at all. Well I was fully aware of the entire surgery and not once was I calm when supposedly I was getting anthesia put in my IV to make me not know anything. Now I will not feel confident to do my other eye because of being misled of the procedure.

Dr. Binford is the first doctor I've been to who actually takes the time to explain things so you can understand exactly what he sees, even if it means drawing pictures. He stays up-to-date on the latest treatments and procedures. He makes me feel like I am a valued friend, not just a name on a chart. I highly recommend him to all my friends.

very caring individual, ask me what had happened to my right eye, i did not have to tell him that i had had an infection in my right eye in the 80's he saw it.very profissonal.
