Dr. Parham Khanbolooki, MD

I saw Parham Khanbolooki because my primary Physician didn't have an immediate available appointment. I was there to ask for help on chronic fatigue and migraines. From our conversation Parham Khanbolooki misconstructed what I told him and ordered a drug screen without telling me. When I asked him to explain why he had ordered a drug screen, he ignored me (documented in messages we exchanged, which I have saverd as PDF printouts). I now have to pay a large sum of money for the drug screen, and still have headaches and migraines (also documented in a PDF printout I created from the bill I received). A lot more happened. What I write here is a summary of the most aggravating incidents. I thought that the patient-physician interaction was based on trust and respect. Physicians are professionals of health and must always seek to treat a patient (even if they have unfounded negative ideas about the patient). Profiling and disrespecting a patient should not be allowed. In my… case, Parham Khanbolooki wrongly assumed that my fatigue and migraines could be due to drug abuse. Why drugs? He also assumed that I am an untrustworthy person and chose to run a drug screen behind my back. He could have discussed the matter with me. I didn't deserve an apology or explanation from him. I would like to know what was Parham Khanbolooki planning to do with a positive drug test. What was his ulterior motive? How does doing this relate to his functions as a physician?

I recently saw Dr. Khanbolooki at Scripps Carmel Valley for an ongoing cervical spine issue as the physician I normally see was on vacation. I could not have been more impressed! He had taken the time to thoroughly review my medical records and imaging reports before the appointment. He was so prepared to give me the best advice and treatment possible. I felt as though I had been under his care for years. Kind, knowlegable and truly cares!

Poor bedside manner. Rude with his colleagues.

I cannot believe how long he took with me going over medications and grilling me from his notecards. I was exhausted and then another group of doctors came in and asked the same questions. I'm guessing no one is working nights these days and so we're stuck with terrible doctors like this one. I submitted a complaint through Scripps and have not heard back as of yet.

I had a pleasant experiance with Dr. Khanbolooki. I had ended up at the ER at Scripps, was admitted and Dr Khanbolooki was my attending Dr. No complaints from me, he was curtious, helpfull in my situation and explained in depth what i needed to know. It would be a pleaseure to be seen by Khanbolooki on my next experiance there.

I have never been so fearful or treated with such rudeness and contempt by any person much less a man who calls himself doctor like I was treated by Parham Khabolooki while I was a patient at Scripps Green in 2012. I had been admitted through the ER for deep vein thrombosis as the result of orthopedic surgery. No one else was in my hospital room with me at the time. I cannot believe he is still affiliated with Scripps or any other hospital. He should not be around patients. He has a temper, is not the least bit compassionate and has no regard for the other doctors. As he finally left my room, he yanked off my cast and would not even allow me to have a blanket to cover me with or pillows to prop up my leg which was operated on just days before. He did not want me to be admitted from the ER. I was sent to the ER from my ortho for treatment of blood clots. My ER doctor who was attentive and brilliant had to argue with this man to get me admitted.
