Dr. Patricia Lynn Richman, MD

I saw Dr. RIchman in Fall 2013. I had been sick with what I thought was a bug going around. I was initially seen by my oncologist as I had an upcoming appointment with her. Lab tests confirmed a bladder infection and I was put on Cipro. The next day (a Thursday) I felt a lot better (my temp had been 102). By Monday I was very sick again and contacted my regular clinic. I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor so I saw Dr. Richman that same day. My temp was back up to 101.4. The concern was a kidney infection. I was given a shot and put on a different drug. While I was there, I mentioned to Dr. Richman that I had a groin injury. She blew me off, saying "That has nothing to do with this." Well, I wasn't suggesting it did, but I had something else wrong with me that needed medical attention. Normally I would have taken a strong stand with the doctor but I was so sick that all I wanted to do was go home and crawl into bed. Two days later, I called the clinic about my… groin injury. I ended up being seen once again by Dr. Richman. She did different manipulations of my left leg to determine what the issue might be. On one, I nearly ended up on the ceiling because the pain was so bad. She diagnosed me with a hip flexor strain, put me on Flexeril, and referred me to physical therapy. I had a very severe strain (level 3 per my internet research)--couldn't walk without limping, couldn't slip my foot into a shoe without extreme pain in my groin, couldn't cross my left leg over my right, and when getting into my truck, I couldn't lift my left leg into the vehicle (I had to use my hands to pick up my leg and set it in the truck). If Dr. Richman had taken the time to listen to me instead of blowing me off, I wouldn't have had to make a second trip to the clinic. I would never go back to her again. She's no longer at the Entira WBL clinic, thankfully.
