After months of rhinoplasty research and consultations with a dozen surgeons in Miami and Boca, I decided that Dr. Afrooz was the surgeon for me. He is a dedicated professional and patiently listened to my concerns regarding the width and asymmetry of my nose. My rhinoplasty was only three weeks ago but already I see a huge difference. I can breathe easier and my nose is now symmetrical and the tip is more defined. I still look like me, only better. I have had two mini lifts in the past and finally realized that I needed to opt for something with more permanent results. I also knew that I needed to carefully choose a skilled surgeon. During my first consultation with Dr. Afrooz I was struck by his demeanor. He was very attentive, listened to my desired outcome, my concerns and my questions about recovery. He studied my face, manipulated my skin here and there and then with careful consideration answered all of my questions. He did not over promise and described what I could realistically expect. He also explained what he wanted to do to achieve optimum results which included upper blepharoplasty, a facelift and fat injections. I left without commitment because even though my instinct was telling me that I had found my doctor, I wanted to do my homework first. After some online research I discovered that he has years of extensive training, the best that our country has to offer. I also found that he teaches and writes for plastic surgery publications. I read reviews from previous patients, all five star. Lastly, I was encouraged by his youth. Besides being impressed by his accomplishments to date, I am happy to know that if in the future I would like to have another cosmetic procedure, I have a gifted doctor that will still be practicing, as in not retired. As for my procedure, I am so pleased with my results. Besides performing all of what I mentioned before, he also had to reconstruct my ear lobes and clean up the scarring left behind by another surgeon. Oh yes, and I had a little lipo to my belly as well. I’m not sure exactly how long I was in surgery but it was dark when I got there, early in the morning, and dark when I left that evening. I knew he took his time in making sure that everything was done perfectly. At 2 1/2 weeks my incisions are now healed and are mostly unnoticeable, with a little more time I’m certain they will be imperceptible. The smoker’s lines around my lips are gone, I have a jawline again, no more droopy eyelids, my double chin is gone and I have earlobes again. Not to mention the crows feet and smile lines are smoothed out. I still have a little swelling beneath my jawline but that will dissipate. The first four days or so of recovery was a little enduring. The drains were annoying and the eyelid stitches were itchy. I wasn’t in a lot of pain, mostly just weak and tired. My abdomen is still sore from the lipo but not excruciating, keep in mind I’m typing this at 2 1/2 weeks out. It just feels like I did a hundred sit ups. The results were evident immediately though. It is now flat and my lower tummy pouch is gone. In closing I just have to say that I am beyond pleased with the entire experience. I’m so glad I chose Dr. Afrooz and I recommend him without hesitation.

I have been in the medical field and have had plenty of doctors working for me, so I had much better understanding of how to do research than the normal patient would. Due to this, I have seen the good and the bad with doctors. I did a great deal of research on plastic surgeons before I decided to go with Dr. Afrooz who has two locations [insert here]. What my research showed me is that there are plenty of Doctors out there that have great advertisement, but at the end of the day, that is what their expertise is: advertisement. After researching Dr. Afrooz, it was apparent that his education and expertise is far beyond any other plastic surgeon I had found while researching. “He then completed a seven-year Plastic Surgery Residency in the Integrated Plastic Surgery Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the most prestigious plastic surgery training programs in the country. “ He has one of the most extensive educational background out of almost anyone in the country. Let me explain why I am so glad I decided to go with him. For pre op he had seen me on at least 3 occasions to study and examine my face and how he was going to perform the surgery. The morning of my surgery, he was explaining to me how he had studied my images the night before, and I have heard and seen that in the medical field how most doctors do not study or prep for a surgery except minutes before the surgery. The day of the surgery, he spent approximately 45 minutes marking my face up, taking multiple pictures and studying them. There were multiple patients going into surgery with other surgeons. We all went in approximately the same time; 7:30am. My surgery was not as extensive as some of the other patients, but the time and care he took, I was the last one out of post-op which was 4:00pm. The nurses and anesthetist said that he is always the first one in and last one out. What was more astonishing was that he asked me to stay close to his office because my surgery was on a Friday. He had asked me to come to his office on Saturday, again on Sunday, then Monday and Tuesday. I have never seen or heard of a doctor that came in unless there was an emergency to review or see a patient on a weekend. Not only did he see me, he literally called me and asked me to send pictures of the areas daily. I highly recommend to anyone looking to do plastic surgery, to consult with Dr. Afrooz. He is not the cheapest by any means, but he is definitely, in my opinion, the best.

Dr. Afrooz is an impeccably trained and highly experienced plastic surgeon for the entire body. But he's also an expert with Botox and fillers and has the gentle touch. I had wrinkles in my forehead and around my eyes that I wanted eliminated. But I didn't want it to look noticeable. Dr. Afrooz to the rescue. He gently injected Botox in my face in such a way that I could still move my eyebrows and there were no resulting visible bruises. Whether you want Botox as a wrinkle preventative or a wrinkle concealer, Dr. Afrooz is your “go-to” guy. He’s also an expert in fillers if you’re interested in making changes to your appearance. You will know you were in great hands when you see the outcome.
