Very Unhelpful Doctor After going to the ER for a Spider Bit the ER Doctor told me that I needed to follow up with a Dermatologist because I had sit up a nasty skin infection related to the Spider Bit. Since I didn't know any Dermatologist in Idaho Falls I simply when to Dr. Cornelius P. Brooke's office which is in the same complex as my family doctor. I ended waiting in the exam room for almost 30 minutes before he came in. The doctor came in took one glance at my leg and said that I was allergic to Mosquitoes! I told him that I was there because of a Hobo Spider Bit and not because of Mosquito Bits. He would not listen to what I had to say at all and wouldn't even look at the Hobo Spider Bit on my leg. Then he started asking me all kinds of question about my family and myself and Skin Cancer. I told me that I was there to see him for a Hobo Spider Bit. While I was trying to telling him about the spider bit he had his back to me writing something and would not look at me or answer my… questions. He then walked out of the room without saying another word to me and he had been in the exam room less than Five minutes. His nurse told me that the doctor wanted to see me back in two weeks and then gave me a prescription for a medicine than the ER doctors had already give me and was on the list of medicines they had put me on. The list was on the paperwork the ER doctors had send with me and Doctor Brooke never even bothered to look at it. I was very upset to say the less and I don't plan on ever seeing this nutty doctor again.

Dr. Brooks is thorough - a great Dermatologist.

Dr. Brooke is so helpful and listens to his patients. He has been our doctor for many years. He's great!

Dr. Brooke is a very knowledgeable doctor. He has treated multiple members of my family, including myself, and has been able to diagnose when other doctors couldn't. His bed side manner is a odd and old fashioned, but so is he. Dr. Brooke seems down to earth and is highly recommended.

I have known Dr Brooke for years. He has treated me several times for different problems. Very well informed and knowledgeable. Dr Brooke is very down to earth. He is a brilliant diagnostician with extensive experience. The front staff is a little abrupt. I trust Dr. Brooke for diagnosis and treatment.

Please understand I appreciate that dr. Brooks discovered a melanoma on my back. But understand that he had told me he had found nothing could he help me in any other way. I asked him to remove a troublesome mole on my back and while removing it his helper pointed out a troublesome spot on my shoulder. I heard him respond , oh that is interesting they then biopsied the spot and determined it was a melanoma. I have just had a third visit to dr. Brook and found him to be much less than thorough. I had to ask him to recheck several areas which he did willingly but I shouldn't have to point things out to him. doctor brooks does not seem to be as interested in prevention I would hope he would be.

Bedside manner of a veterinarian. Only interested in serious cases, Kick- back from drug companies? This guy is rude and needs to retire.

I do not like how the dr. walked in and proceeded to touch my face and skin without having washed his hands. I know this because I heard him leave the little room next door and immediately come into mine. The office was filthy, marks and stains on the pillow, bed, chairs, dingy floors and walls and there were used bandages stuck to the surgical tray. I believe he is a good dermatologist but his hygiene left A LOT to be desired.

I went in to see Dr. Brooke about a rash that has become out of control rapidly. I put my trust in an actual dermatologist instead of a general practitioner because I didn't want to be treated poorly and I wanted to feel like the doctor actually cared about me. If you're like me, this is NOT the office or doctor for you. The visit was short. He came in, took one glance at the rash on my arms (which is everywhere) and basically said, "This is what's wrong. This is what I'm prescribing you." He didn't take sufficient time to more thoroughly examine the issue, he didn't bother asking me questions about it, he didn't give me the slightest opportunity to ask questions (which I had), and he certainly didn't make me feel welcomed, comfortable, or cared about. I agree with all of the negative posts that have heretofore been established and I second them. A VERY NEGATIVE AND DISTURBING EXPERIENCE!!!! Don't waste your time and money seeing Dr. Paul Brooke at Idaho Falls Dermatology!

This place is a very sneaky and conniving place and they are simply trying to screw you out of anything they can by with holding information from you. If I had the money, this guy would be in court ASAP. The over all feel of the visit was uncomfortable. The doctor told me that he was going to give me a shot, "I'm going to give this shot and it should help." Never mentioned any additional cost. As I left I triple checked that the bill was paid and the insurance covered their part and that there would be no other expenses. I was assured that that was the case. The receptionist proceeded to accost me to make a follow up appointment stating that it was "mandatory." Don't for get folks we are hiring the doctor, they work for us. She continued to pressure me into a follow up visit that I simply cannot afford, I could hardly afford the initial visit. They continued to tell me they would simply schedule me a visit. To which I replied, "I will simply cancel it." After that go around for a… few minuets, I left. Three weeks later I received a bill in the mail for the shot that I was given! I was never told there was an additional cost for the shot. The bill was 1 1/2 times the cost of a follow up appointment. I called to speak to the doctor who refuses to talk to me over the phone and billing told me that he would dictate a letter to me; in which he told me he would talk to me over a follow up appointment for which I would have to pay for! Finally after telling them I would be contacting my lawyer they told me they would have the doctor call me, we'll see what comes of it.
