I have had two operations performed by Dr. Paul Crowe this year. I am very pleased with him and his entire team. I highly recommend Dr. Crowe. He has performed two back surgeries on me. I have noticed patients complain about bedside manner in other reviews. I chose Dr. Crowe on his credentials as a surgeon, not as someone I am looking to go out to lunch with. With that being said, I have not experienced poor bedside manners from him. My surgical outcomes were great and I found him to be personable! After my first surgery I had tears of joy becasue I could walk without pain thanks to Dr. Crowe. Unfortunately I was in an accident shortly after which required another operation. I highly recommend Dr. Crowe and will continue to see him for my spine issues.

Dr. Crowe has been my spine and knee surgeon for 26 years and he is the only spine and knee doctor I will use. After experiencing severe lower back and sciatica pain, Dr. Crowe has time and again eliminated the pain and returned my quality of life to 100%. Dr. Crowe has performed a laminectomy, a diskectomy and a spinal fusion on my degenerative disks and I feel great!! My mobility has not been affected and I have returned to a normal life. Dr. Crowe has also eliminated my knee pain by scoping each knee. Again it is great being pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Crowe as your back and knee doctor/surgeon. Dr Crowe and his staff have done an outstanding job with my hip replacement. I am now pain free and am able to do things I haven't been able to for over a year.

Dr. Crowe is with out a doubt the MOST inapt Dr. I've ever had do surgery on me. He is rough, crude and uncaring, after he was done with surgery never returned to my room after he was done, then sent in a fill in Dr. next AM who stated that he was not very informed about my type surgery had me move my left foot two times , then he left. I had much pain for the next 4 plus months, he ordered after surgery numerous other items that were not necessary but lots of money,after the third MRI by a very, very top rated Neurosurgeon stated to me that additional pieces of disc were still not removed. I had to under go second surgery, finally second op ended up fine. Never ever would I recommend Crowe to my worst enemy. There is much that I could add to this comment but it would take way to much time.

Went to Doctor Crowe multiple times for my back pain. After multiple visits, an MRI, and 2 shots, still no resolution on pain. His office never follows up after shots and I deal more with his receptionist than him. He is always very busy and rushed. If you want someone who shows compassion to your issue and tries to fix it, he is not the doctor for you.

I loved the fact that he explains things to me that I can understand He did my knee surgery and i was Completely thrilled with the results. He also did my husbands knee surgery after Twin Cities orthotopic MESSED up his first knee surgery. Great Surgeon!!!

He was always in a hurry and I was always treated as if I was keeping him from more important matters. Spent several days in hospital yet saw him once for less than 5 min. Neither he nor assistant would explained the procedure; when deciding, before or after surgery. He evaded questions about it and lied about what was done, as if everything was a secret. Had zero relief after surgery, in fact pain and issues increased tenfold-yet told I was doing fine. Every answer to my questions of WHY -is there new and increased pain, why hasn't it subsided, why am I not healing and have increased disability, etc, was "I DON'T KNOW". Isn't this his specialty and he should know why? Wouldn't he want to find out why? No. Just told that I'm doing good, scans look fine and to wean off pain meds. No exam, no acknowledgement of ongoing disability and unbearable pain. Yet MRI showed obvious problems and pain severity was at 9 and didn't respond to their mild pain killers-which he and his assistant were… reluctant to deal with. Just wrote me off once it was clear mine weren't good results. New Dr confirms serious problems exist and are the source of severe pain, which is finally being acknowledged and treated with the seriousness it deserves but was never given. Further surgery is required to fix what he considered "fine, nothing to worry about". No one would listen to me. It's "cookie cutter" medicine, they do things according to their plan and if your case falls outside those plans or exceeds them, too bad. You're on your own because they won't help. Deeply regret entire experience and would never have had him operate had I known what I do now. They keep you ignorant by lack of time with you, dismissing or deferring questions, disregarding issues, until the deed is done and there is no turning back. Spare yourself the misery.

Went to him when injured at work. Supposedly he could see nothing wrong with my back or my leg from work injury on MRI. Person who did the scan on leg said the request was for ankle and that is what she scanned. After seeing him for follow up he said no injury seen to leg. Hard to tell what is injured in leg if scan was done on ankle. Also the MRI showed nothing wrong with back. He sent me to see a Ortho specialist, when he look at the MRI scan he told me that there was a rupture at the L5S1 disc. Wouldn't use him if you have a Work comp injury, seems to not be able to see any thing wrong if you get my drift.
